Vehicles would highlight this games flaws and thats why they arent here.
Also, all those players running and boosting across a planets surface for hours adds up in their player engagement.
This games product bro. Injected with BS the "the suits" love
make instances 1x2 or 1x4 fights
Starship mech drop instead of landing
Special mech missions
Size of regular maps is more than enough for a mech fights.
If not for original DLC, I’m almost sure modders will do it
They said that?
I'm pretty sure we will get at least constructible bot companiouns (like in F4 "The Machinist" DLC), some type of mech suit (like F4's Power Armour), or even a full blown customizeable mech.
I would still love to see some mechs stomping around, or even basic vehicles to help haul resources back to the ship. The idea that we have customized ships to cross the galaxy, but can't have even a slow moving golf cart to explore the planet's surface is insane. Bethesda -really- doesn't want to get out of their comfort zone.
I`m a modder with some experience, made plugins since Morrowind, I can say that vehicles is not a problem - there was a very fun mod Titanfall for FNV with a working mech. Even something like CARS for FNV was quite stable, and that thing changed alot. The ship is a vehicle, animation of docking, landing and taking off made during normal game mode. There is no difference for engine if its in space, underwater or on the ground. Its still unclear the exact scripting, since we dont have creation kit, but I can safely assume that at least making a custom frame with mech builder based on ship builder will be possible.
I'm also curious if the power armor framework is still floating around in there, that could be fun!
