Okay random quest 2065, the settlers or scientists wants you to place gas sensors in X places... however I select the job and all... and it just points me to random main quest for some reason, I run around vents killing my ingame lungs trying to place sensors but I get no items or anything to place down as the job would suggest, along with No points where the ♥♥♥♥ I am suppose to put these sensors

If you either select that quest or select show all there should be markers on the vents where you need to place the sensors, you just go to them and press E.

IT is selected, and yet, it doesn't show a single objective related to the settler's quest rather points me to another quest in my quest log. And yes IT IS THE SELECTED MISSION NOT THE ONE IT IS TRYING TO POINT ME TO.

Well I would try selecting show all and if it's bugged do not worry about it as it's a 75XP reward and a few k credits so just an extremely small fetch quest and leads to nothing more.

Me too, I had a same situation of gas sensor quest. I tried to find invisible makers of gas point for a hour, but I couldn't. Once leave that planet, then that quest was disappeared from my quest list.
when I got another gas sensor mission in another planet, It was not bugged and I could clear gas sensor mission.

Did you accidentally chose "show all quest markers" in your questlist?

It's an option at the bottom, you would have to hit it again to show only tracked quest markers.

Show all markers doesn't show all markers. It shows some markers, and it doesn't take into account which quest is closest to you, sometimes it only shows the off-planet ones instead.

It's the buggiest BS ever.
