I never have had that many issues with the game when it comes to bugs or stability. Not had a single quest bug which I could not fix by ether loading a earlier save or restarting the game.
A bigger patch is starting beta this weds. Then a final release in about 2 weeks after it.
I am not sure that counts as no major issues ;p I remember reloading that ship filled with money in pirate quest twice befroe it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ worked, not funny at all its like alot of gameplay time, and I remember at least one or two others I just passed after that cause I dont want to repeat stuff over and over again.
It counts for me. lol. And I don't remember doing that quest. There is a lot of them in the game. So I can't say I have did them all. :P
I have not seen much of that at all. Not as often as some seem to complain about it at least.
You shouldn't have those issues with your system. I don't with my weaker RTX 3060ti OC and I7 11700kf. At 1440p, Ultra/HIgh settings, using DLSS and DLSS set to Quality. But I cap the frames in the game and am happy with fps that are consistently close to 60 fps.
And to my eyes, the game looks really good for the most parts. Some scenes are actually gorgeous. The attention to detail is evident. The worse part is some npc's look like crap.
Is it as good as The Witcher 3 Next Gen update? No. But the environment for that game is a lot different. And I think the Char creation was much better in Fallout 4. So the game is not perfect when it comes to visuals.
On Ultra with DLSS
I've had no major issues in 1,400 hours and very few issues overall.
I know this won't fit the narrative but that's been my experience.
Overall my experience has been very good. The game looks really good, runs smooth, my fps is always around 100+ except in a few spots but even then runs very well.
"Next week, on January 17, we’ll be putting our biggest Starfield update yet into Steam Beta with over 100 fixes and improvements, with a planned release date for all players two weeks later. Here’s some of what you can expect!
This update contains a multitude of fixes to Quests. Eye of the Storm issues such as being unable to dock with the Legacy or data transfer not starting, and Temples not showing up in 'Into the Unknown', will no longer prevent Constellation from exploring the cosmos.
Additionally, this update brings stability improvements and numerous graphic improvements ranging from additional widescreen support to improved textures, lighting, and shadows. See the character creation before and after shots attached below.
Other fixes and improvements include sun disk geometry, planet ring shadows, bulldozed objects reappearing when returning to an Outpost, ship hatches marked inaccessible, and another fix for asteroids following ships. The full update notes will be posted next week when the Steam Beta is released!"
So on January 17th we get the beta first.
I agree, You shouldn't. And I don't. But then again, our expectations for what we want, could be different. Which could be the reason you do and I don't. :)
The game plays plenty smooth for "me", overall looks really good and is very stable. I can't ask any more from any game.
