That's why so many of us are still watching Starfield closely. We're concerned that Bethesda won't have learned from all of their mistakes, and that being under MS now means they just don't care anymore. It would absolutely ruin The Elder Scrolls to have TES VI be any less of a game than Skyrim, and honestly most of us want a return to Morrowind or Oblivion quality in it.
Sadly, we're holding onto hope, despite the fact it's probably gone.
The downward trajectory didn't start with Starfield, that's the worrying part. It's nice to hold on to hope but the quality of Beth games isn't trending in the right direction.
i personally think this will only come through fan made projects like skyblivion or skywind and the beyond skyrim team mods, so we may not have much hope for bethesda to make a good game ever again, but we at the very least do have the modders who have been working on these projects for the last decade straight, and i got to say their mods are very close to being done, so they couldn't come at a better time if you ask me, Skyblivion is estimated to be done by early 2025, i know that's a ways away from now, but if you think about it for as long as it's been in production by the modding community, it makes sense that it would take as long as it has and mostly on volunteer work, skywind on the other hand is a little further out, but it was being created roughly at the same time Skyblivion was started, so just hang in there.
we don't have to always depend on bethesda to make something good, the real magic comes from the modding community.
So they can make whatever they make for Elder Scrolls 6. Like it, don't like it, cool. Buy it or don't, no problem. But if you want to judge the game that all you've seen are some mountains for five seconds, and you KNOW it's going to be a joke, why even think about it? Why is it even on your radar?
And that's good news?
OMG...at least I'll get to enjoy the ride down this slippery slope!
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee........
Can you please everybody? No.
Can you please the majority of your target audience? Absolutely.
If your statement was correct you'd never see a game with "Very Positive" or "Overwhelmingly Positive" aggregates but they still get released regularly.
Another thing that might help is to cut down on deceptive marketing.
