In New Zealand. It's $130 on Steam, but I can order a boxed copy for $110 from a retailer.
The goods are priced for what the market is willing to pay, sadly.
Personally I don't recall the last time I bought something directly off Steam that wasn't massively reduced in one of their many sales, as resellers are almost always significantly cheaper. The only downside of that is there is no refund option if you hate the game, but buy carefully and not from Steam (at least for Australian pricing policies).
$99 JB Hifi: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/pc-game-starfield?queryID=f78da0b54f2eb181a25c2c3bcb35845c&objectID=653431
I think it comes with a Steam code since Bethesda Launcher is no longer active.
It's $129.95 on Steam, while it's $109.00 at MightyApe or at JB HiFi.
While in Australia, it's cheaper boxed at retailers than digitally distributed, as others have mentioned.
Hope that helps.
Right, I forgot to mention the EB Games listing: https://www.ebgames.com.au/product/pc/240256-starfield
If you go to the EB Games page and scroll down, it says down there "Steam Key provided for PC version", so it's from that I assume the other listings will also come with a Steam key. I hope
