Surprised it's not Brazil... they get raked over the coals constantly. I think some previous games were literally like an entire months salary for some people.
From the stats I read a while back, the "bottom 80%" of Canadians earn less than the average American. So the vast majority of Canadians, including the poorest among us, live off less money and pay more for everything. And there is almost no movement upwards, with most people in this group becoming poorer since the pandemic. Add to that the increasing cost of healthcare, due to deregulation and privatization, and the removal/reduction of other social safety nets, and there's very little financial benefit to being Canadian vs. being American.
Quebec and Newfoundland have true social identities, but the rest of Canada are basically just poor Americans.
I know, "no one cares". It's just nice to get it off my chest. Fare thee well, citizens of the stars! :)
$90 cad is ~67 usd. It is actually a cheaper base price than the states slightly.
Yup, we essentially get taxed twice on products cause of our amazing monopoly money.
349 ZL inc tax today, pre tax is 284 ZL which in USD is $70
The cost of the game in Poland was probably set a number of months ago when the conversion rate to USD was better, finances are set way in advance and this time last year it was 4.54 Zloty to 1 USD vs 4.05 today.
Taking that into account the 284Zl becomes $62.50 a year ago.
