Free Mod to Transfer Spaceships Across Universes!
It finally happened, I admit I was resisting NG+ because I dont want to lose all my ships lol.

SFSE plugin that allows you to export and import spaceships (both layout and interior decoration). The mod is Console based, there is no UI.
There are 3 commands: ExportShip, ImportShipLayout and ImportShipInterior.

Thanks for the information. I just saw it over in the cafe. I guess NG+1 is waiting for your arrival.

So exciting! We can share ships with each other more easily now too, Sure, its possible to make ships in CK already, & export as a mod to share, but this is more freewheeling, often the best ships are the ones we tinker with over and over thru longer time frames lol.

Check out the sneak peak of an upcoming overhaul mod for New Atlantis I just posted over in the 2025 Mods Videos thread

This is what the mod author says about it:

"...from NPCs and landing pads to every last detail. The city will remain similar to the vanilla version, but with a twist: many NPCs will have jobs, there will be at least 12 fully functional landing pads, and it will be a massive city. From towering skyscrapers to small houses that gradually fade into the outskirts, it’s going to feel alive and expansive"."
This mod also means we can iterate, save versions of a ship, useful if we want to go back or make a fork of a design from a certain point. This is sweet! Also... this is where console players start to convert to PC players lol!! SFSE for the win!

That sounds sweet!

Imagine taking it out of Starfield and put it in something like a 3D renderer?

I can do that already with complete freedom of design in Blender, but its nice to be able to play it in a game, I could import my custom ships too I wager, but things in the game tend to be more modular, so a modular kit is usually best. Things have been too crazy here for me to even start on that idea though lol... its no small task.

I'd imagine. What a feeling to have a full mesh being brought into the game to view. So cool.

Yep, as I am learning now, it really requires a lot of time. Sometimes it is just easier to play the game?

I tried the Starvival mod and I am glad I did. Bethesda was right to keep the survival to the utter minimum.

Yeah, most players dont like hardcore survival mode, but some love it, one reason why the modding community is amazing around most of their games, you can do things as you please. I bet I will try a starvival playthru someday just for kicks, but im still on my first playthru, I dont want to add too much difficulty this round.

Fallout 4 is crazy good on survival mode, if you've never tried its well worth it.

As for modding it really is an artform, blender alone is an amazing app that takes years to learn lol, but its worth it if you enjoy being creative.
