Starfield On PS5 Still Not Confirmed But New Evidence Emerges
I know we have a lot of PS users here. Looks like this just might be real after all - or is it?
As speculation continues to rise whether Starfield will make its way to PS5, the PlayStation logo was spotted on Starfield's Creation Club page.
The logo, which was next to the Xbox and PC logos, was seen as part of a decals mod.
That specific page has since been removed, continuing to fuel rumors about a potential port.

You would think a thread would be about conversation. I don't think this one will be.

It's not actually very far fetched that it does end up on PS5 because it was being developed for it before Microsoft bought ZeniMax anyway.

SF going exclusive even caught Bethesda off guard as can be seen from leaked e-mails during the FTC vs Microsoft trial.

It's funny too as Microsoft banked so much on SF driving Xbox console and Game Pass sales, hence the exclusivity.

They even hinted at shutting down Game Pass in 2027 which, again, SF as the "most important RPG of a generation" was meant to stop. Going platform neutral two years before that estimation doesn't look good.

I think it is over too. They are going cross-platform only to increase sales so they can sell-off XBox asset by asset.

I think Starfield on PS5, although it would be fun to play on the couch, isn't going to go down so well and may ruin it altogether. There is going to be no FREE playing of this game and the sales number will this time be reported.

Some code-altering update would be needed.

I'll reply here instead a new post/edit, because after doing some digging via the original resetera post: https://www.resetera.com/threads/starfield-creations-are-starting-to-show-the-playstation-logo-ps5-launch-could-be-soon-possibly.1134780/ I think there is a good chance this is a hoax.

Reasoning is the download sizes are identical for each version. Looking through a few mods on the Creations website this isn't something that is possible, all I checked varied by a few kb.

We'll see, but all I've learnt from this game is to be wary about anything until it happens.

So true. Again, this is a specialized game for a few specialized gamers. This wouldn't do well on PS5. Who knows though? This is why this forum still exists, even if people don't want to talk to each other. LOL!

No it needs to be on PS5 because that will make the haters even more mad when the closet Starfield lovers buy hundreds of thousands of copies.

What ???
I'll never buy a PS5 and even if I did I wouldn't buy Starfield over again since PC has the better mod support. Its mod support I'm curious about since we all know how it worked with Skyrim and Fallout 4. Will this port repeat the same restrictions? If so that's a serious problem for Bethesda since there are already mods on creations that exceed those restrictions.

I think the bigger question is what is coming to the PS5 version that might change the PC version for the better?

A classic example of what my first post meant.

What ???

It’s pretty universally known that a good portion of Starfield hate comes from ponies.

Oh, so my owning a PS5 makes me hate Starfield? Oh dear.

No that’s not what the reason is. It has to do with the stupid “lolmahexclusives” mentality. I have a PS5 too because unfortunately Sony won’t publish Gran Turismo 7 on PC and I’ve been a fan of that franchise since the 90’s

Mods are generally a limited selection for mod users to choose from in a Playstation game.
