As for bouncing around, I have had a ton of trouble with ship interior mods bugging up. I keep seeing stuff that sounds good but does not work right.... for any mod, try whatever you get before locking yourself into a broken ship or unfixable game state: the creation kit does not ensure the products work or are safe to use.
Ver 2 does the doors in a completely different way from Version one. Also, I think the whole dropping through you ship thing was only a problem in Ver 1. Ver 2, if you fail to place a door, you just can't enter that hab is all.
Ver 2, no longer does that, there's no need to rebuild the ship. though you do need to add doors where you want them when you edit the ship. So vanilla ships will work fine until you edit the ship. Once you do, you just have to add the doors where you want them, no need to replace the habs anymore.
That is one of the biggest problems with the mod and while the guy is very talented, there's a huge language barrier and the description on the Nexus I don't think has been updated. The Creations version of the Mod I believe used Ver 2.

the time I bounced inside the ship after using PDY, I mostly used the aft door plugin and most likely it only
