Justification for price DLC price tag?
So I am curious as to if anyone knows what is going on with the price tag of the DLC. It's the cost of a season pass or just a freaking new game, but doesn't seem to be adding that much based on the store page. Am I missing something or is this just standard corporate price inflation?

It's a full expansion, similar to Phantom Liberty for Cyberpunk, which is also $30. Todd has said it's comparable in terms of scale to Far Harbor which was $25 eight years ago.

Isn't it the same price as all the other Bethesda DLCs?

Well really, that's Bethesda's Job:

It seems about the scale you'd expect for a Bethesda expansion in the current year, I am certainly not going in expecting a new galaxy.

Only buy it if you are convinced you want it, obviously.

No, the only one they've released that was $30 at release was Shivering Isles.

This is why you always buy the premium versions to start with so you don't need to keep spending :steamsalty:

how much did you save brother?

The justification is simple, some people will pay that much. If you are not one of them then wait for a sale like the rest of us.

Since when is a new Bethesda game $30?

Folks really should have bought the Premium Edition.... it was only $30 more than the base game and includes not just Shattered Space, but also 1000 creation credits (which is $9.99 normally), the Starfield OST, artbook, skins and it had 7 days early access before Starfield released.

Even now, there is no real reason not to get the premium edition if you don't already have the base game. Your $30 goes much farther with premium than buying just Shattered Space.

The Far Harbor DLC for Fallout 4 cost $30 8 years ago. If anything Bethesda should be congratulated for holding the line on DLC pricing to what it was 8 years ago, right?
