Cant install comspike and conduction grid. Halp!

Im doing the crimson fleet quest and i was told to install them components. I watched a youtube guide on how to install em but when i press attach, the equipment tab doesent even exist, where those components are supposed to be. I figured i need a better location to install them. Maby the top would conflict with the docking bit, but nope. Even when i try and install them lower, the option doesnt appear. Im still flying an upgraded A reactor Frontier. Do i just need a bigger or different ship?

it's usually in the ship building menu under the equipment menu, one looks life a vent and the other a round cap pointed a bit at the top

Thats the thing. I go to the ship build section. I select an attachment point but there is No equipment tab at all. What gives :D

So i cant do it using Jazz? Omg... the objective marker is on Her tho xD Thas damn game...
So i have to find a separate area on the key and access the ship build menu there?

I found those mods to be a bit strange to install. They only go on certain attachment points.

I installed them on the Star Eagle, they fit on 2 of the back attachment points.

No, only Jazz can install it. If Jazz does not have the modules, then you should load an older savegame. The quest script may not have unlocked the components.

Are you running any ship related mods? It's possible, if you are, that those mods are messing with your ship component categories...

But they should appear under Equipment are are mounted on weapon hardpoints...

Aha, i just removed a turret and i can attach it there. I just needed a valid attachment point. Ugh... thanks guys. And no thanks to bethesda xD

oh glad you sorted it, I just took a screenshot where i installed them on my Star Eagle, it's the ones on either side. But anyway you got it sorted now.

Anything else would have led to fiddling :)
