Vortex Shards
Hey, I just started up the DLC and am floating my way through a Va Ruun ship, and there is some slaughtering to do. I noticed that they are all carrying an item called a Vortex Shard. Does anyone have any idea if they are used for anything, or if I should stop grabbing them off of corpses?

It's revealed later in the game what you can do with it. Just play the game lol.
