I bought Starfield digital premium edition.
I never played the game before and wanted to try it out with the arrival of the DLC, but it does have a lot of negative reviews. Did I make a mistake buying it?

the skin you get are useless and available for for armor very low level you throw away after 5 minutes because you find better armor

I suggest modding to cut out the grind and it gets better that way. There are really good cheat mods on Nexus as well that make everything a hell of a lot faster than without them.

Congrats, you've wasted $ like me.
With the premium edition you get Shattered Space and all future DLC for free so if you want to stick to the game after this then you made a good choice

You don't get all future DLC for free. Just shattered space.

A lot has improved during the last year and in its current state I am finding it highly enjoyable. But as with any BGS game - find yourself a nice selection of mods from Nexus to adjust the experience to your taste as you like.
IMHO, this is a damn fine game and I do not regret neither money nor time I invested

Well, to be fair Shattered Space will probably be the last, so you are both right.

I know I know, they patened the word Starborn and some how that eqautes to future hot garbage, but it could also be a mobile game, or tv show or new kind of doritos.

I'm not trying to be an ass here but it doesn't matter now. Even if you have not played it for 2 hours, you are past the refund window. Your choice now is to play it or not then decide for yourself. Asking others for your opinion is strange.

Why buy something and ask for peoples opinion afterwards?

I would say this game would have been best to wait and buy till they fully had their way with the development cycle. As it is, I cannot recommend it based on my experience with the complexities of Morrowind. Every Bethesda game after Morrowind watered down gradually, and this game does so little when promising so much. Oblivion and Skyrim did well with the system simplification, but not SF. Younger gamers who don't have the breadth of experience with older titles and some of the cool tricks they used to create an engaging loop might disagree, the same could be said for casual gamers as well, but greedy well versed hardcore gamers are likely to agree to some degree with me.

You really should have watched "let's play" videos on youtube and waited for a big sale. Almost 1/2 of all players regret touching this thing while many of those that paid for the "early game play" experience refunded.

Maybe you'll enjoy it? IF so, great--but in either case it's not worth anywhere near that price tag.

If you haven't played it for a year anyway, then yes you lost money by not getting it later on a sale. I pre-ordered and got the Premium edition, but I've also been playing it. so while you have no hours in the game, I have 800+, which comes to less than 13 cents and hour. Kind of hard to beat that.

I have kids but have never been a father. I heard bad things about it. Now that the second is born, is it worth it to jump in or did I make a mistake?
