Unable to load Starfield.
I have problems with loading Starfield through Steam. First was for some reason the exe. file to load was lost? After numerous times of uninstalling and installing Starfield it then displayed error libxess.dll. Can you please help me with this matter. My PC : cpu i7- 8700k, graphics card Geforce 1080, ram 32gb, 64 bit, Windows 10.

i have same issue i am trying the game again before new dlc but it will not load up i just get a black screen for 30 secs then the game stops running, i have tried all obvious options from verify game files running steam in compatibility mode and run as admin update gpu drivers etc , my pc specs are i9-12900k rtx 4080super , 64gb ram

Check your INI files, one of them might have a entry for something to do with AIMing, the Buggy Update doesn't like that INI setting anymore and will cause the game to crash if you have it in your INI. I will try to find the post I made about it, think it was on the Nexus.

any luck finding that post i have looked for these INI files cant seem to see any ??

I know this might be the easiest question. Do you have the game installed on a solid state drive?

If not , this is most likely your problem.

Sorry forgot about this and it wasn't the game not loading, it was not being able to aim, I'm sorry.

For those whose game will not load, go to Documents\My Games\Starfield, there should be a couple .ini files there, delete all of them. (three, I think) then try the game.

its on an m.2 drive

thanks very much i deleted two files in that folder one a config and some other 1 and game loads now :)

I have the same issue. None of the normal fixes are working for this issue.
