Crashing after modifying ship

Every time I modify my ship and hit accept my game crashed to desktop. Any help would be much appreciated.

Have you tried verifying the game files?
Do that first and then try.

Right click on game.
Click property's.
Click on game files.
Click on verify files.
Let the system validate.
It should say files verified or some files acquired. That's normal and you don't need to do anything else.
Click ok.
Then start game and try again.

I don't know, never took notice, but does the game create an auto-save when you hit accept? If so, maybe it's trying to save that's causing the crash. The reason I ask, is I remember having a drive fail a while back and anytime the game tried to auto-save or I manually saved, the game would crash because it couldn't access the driver to create the save file. Try creating a save and see if it crashes in the process.

Also if you have any game mods installed; Mention them, because they may have an effect and someone with the mod can say if they are having a similar issue.

Better crimson fleet
darker nights
starwars droids
face redesign
real elevators
useful mess hall
varunn female
UC military overhaul
zone79 clothing vanilla
helmet armory

I think it may be a saving issue, although the game worked fine with these mods up until a few hours ago.

Also not sure if this matters but I am using a UC cruiser that I stole. This is not a ship i created. However, I have been able to make mods to this ship up until now with no problem.

If it is a saving issue, it's easy to test. Load your game and quick save, if it crashes you know there's a saving issue and the game can't create the save file. Doesn't sound like any of those mods should be conflicting to cause an issue.

Is it happening at ANY Ship Tech Place or a Specific one?

I mean just for the UC connections I would look at UC mod.

But since it shows not updated since Dec 2023 I don't think its been Created in the CK (Red Flag 1) or after the Mesh/Texture Pathing Revamp in ?May 2024? (Red Flag 2)

That mod appears to be just textures, so it wouldn't cause crashing, no ESM/ESP. It's still downloading for me, but I will confirm.

EDIT, yeah, no ESM/ESP, it's just a fomod archive with a bunch of textures to pick the option you want, AKA a retexture or replacer mod. Not going to cause crashing.

Other things to try.

Try switching to another ship if you can.

Note: These are things to try, if nothing else pans out. Saving issue might be the path to take, especially if you have had recent OS Updates that may have changed your settings.

So I switched ships and I can modify them fine. I guess its just the UC ship I stole that does not work anymore. I put alot of work into but it looks like I may have to sell it now since I cannot upgrade it anymore.
