Vanguard and Crimson Fleet

Can both quests be run or does one exclude the other? I have not been able to do the Crimson Fleet without getting UCSysDev mad at me and there is nowhere else in UC that will take Kryx's Legacy (that I have found yet). Would rather not give it to Crimson.

You can complete both quests. If you’ve made SysDef your enemy, you can only give the money to the Fleet.

One way is to join the Vanguard and complete the first quest (the one related to the terrormorphs). Once done, having declined to continue the terrormorph mission you'll be offered by your CO to either continue with the Vanguard missions or to report to Sysdef where you'll be given an undercover mission . Your choice is to either bring the Fleet down (not an easy one ! that one) or to join the fleet and bring havoc in the UC and the Freestar systems.

You have several options:
- Join Vanguard at New Atlantis. After completing tutorial (flight exam) and first mission (hunting your first Teramorph) you will be able to infiltrate Creamson Fleet (go undercover). Much later you will be forced to choose who you like to choose - SysDef or Crimson Fleet;
Actually this is most interesting way, as you work both sides at the same time (more dialogss and quests);
- Join Vanguard but made a massacre on Vigilance. You will be praised by Creamson Fleet and promoted to join Creamson Fleet (little bit different quest, easier way to join Creamson Fleet);
- don't join Vanguard, but make something criminal and get arrested (surrender to police). Yo will be contacted and proposed to join Creamson Fleet.

Bethesda designed the game to almost never lock you out of content even when it logically makes no sense. But at least it's not as bad as Elder Scrolls where you can become head of every guild like Forrest Gump or something

If you don't want to join Vanguard, smuggle something into a UC system with the intent of being caught. Just put it in an unshielded cargo or in your pocket. You will start the Crimson Fleet quest on probably the first attempt.

Just get caught stealing a stapler. You'll be treated like scum by SysDef, but that is the fastest way. SysDef is far nicer if you show up as a member of the Vanguard to volunteer for undercover duty.

There was a full blown war in the streets of Neon over a piece of junk on the ground. I'm afraid to steal anything where guards are around. lol

Stay away from pool tables in Bars as well. I grabbed a pool stick in the Pit stop at hopetown and said "Anyone want to pl......" and thats when EVERYONE Started attacking me, Security came in as well to kill me"
