They were on Kaaz'al.
Barrett is just an idiot who sucks at remembering names and who was where. I believe he mentions being bad with that kinda stuff in his dialogue.
After a while when you talk to him about Lynn he will say something like "Bindi, no wait, Kaaz'al" like being stuck with Lynn for a bit has made it so he's finally remembering that she was on Kaaz'al not Bindi.
I don't think he was taunting Lynn so much as really stressing "You found nothing weird, just like you found nothing weird on Bindi/Kaaz'al, right?"
Because on Kaaz'al Barrett found his artifact, had a vision and then hired them to find more, but they didn't, Lynn and CO just found some minerals.
"Your tastes are more exotic these days" Refers to the artifact being more exotic than minerals.
And then when Lynn says "Uh no the new guy/gal passed out" and Barrett realizes you'd found an artifact and had a vision, just like him and so he kidnaps you via Vasco has Vasco whisk you away to Constellation.
As for whether or not Barrett hired a crew to look on Bindi or he was doing something else there idk, but if you bring him to Bindi he makes some comments in the main building that makes it seem like he's been there, but he doesn't really say why.
The convo is weird, but I think its main purpose is to help show that Barrett is an absent minded goof and Lynn is a super serious boss lady and maybe hint that somethings up with Bindi so you'll seek it out later.
Well, she doesn't like stingrays much. But she did get married and has a daughter now and I heard she gave Starfield a negative review after refunding it.
I know Evil Me doesn't dissipate when I kill them but I don't know if thats because they never have been through unity.
I don't know if its just lazy writing or deeply nuanced.
