I can't pick anything up!

I just started a new game after a lengthy hiatus from the game. The character-building phase went as I've experienced before. I got to the Vectera battle with Pirates, no problems. But somewhere during that battle, I lost the ability to pick things up (E) or transfer items (R). I tried to reassign the key binding, but that didn't do anything. Then I reverted to the Default key binding and that likewise did nothing.

Before starting this game I added a dozen new Creations mods, so I think this might be where glitch may have come from. Anybody know of a mod that causes a problem like this?

Ok. I don't know if this is still the case but go to Settings, Interface, and turn off Show Item Information in HUD.

If you added StarUI HUD (which I doubt as it's not a Creation), disable/remove it. It's broken. Show Star Names should be good now since the author updated it. I am not sure the other UI mods involved but do check any UI mods you have.

Out of the five, this was the only one I had enabled. (Out of a list of about 75 mods I had active.) I deleted it and went back to my last Save -- and everything was working fine again.
