Starfield STILL full price on Steam, despite dismal failure?
Really confused how IRL copies of this game are literally being thrown out by stores to clear storage shelves or sold for a few dollars in bargain bins, but we still need to pay three figures on Steam?! Todd's ego really knows no bounds huh.....even the sale prices just made it the same price as a regular (ahem) "AAA" game (so to speak, pfft) and so had little point.

If you can throw out copies in real life to write off, then this price is just pathetic cope & hope from Bethesda.

Can you actually confirm that stores are selling it for cheap?

A while back, it was rumored Walmart decided to stop carrying physical copies of Xbox games (I am not sure about PC and PS). It isn't just Starfield. I have not bought a physical copy of anything in a very long time so I can't say yea or nay to this. There is a lot of garbage on the internet about it though.

40$ Amazon, 50$ Walmart. No way it's being sold anywhere for a few dollars.

Steam has multiple sales per year. This game just had a sale a while ago. You can easily put this game on a sale watch list which Steam then reminds you if the game goes on sale.

If you have any elderly neighbours, perhaps ask if they need any yard work done. Shouldn't take you too long to save up enough pennies.

Its still full price because SF has yet to turn a profit for Bethesda. This kind of dynamic happens when you produce the most refunded game on Steam.

Yeah. Should be free to play now. What, with the microtransactions (paid mods) store and everything...

People want to buy the game now since Shattered Space will be releasing in a few weeks. Not very smart to put it on sale now if the DLC will drive sales. There is even a chance that Starfield could hit the top sellers on Steam on August 30th even at full price.

OP has been waiting for a year for the price of SF to drop, skipped the many sale offers because he wants to buy it for the sub $5 price. Am I right?

the premium edition was the number 1 seller on xbox last year. wtf are you talking about?

unfortunately, you've been tricked by this graph that shows ALL games refunded

$20 would be an appropriate base price.

It would be a great asking price indeed considering they are selling 7$ per quest line.
