Starfield continues to fail going into 2025
Hate to see it. We are all very concerned for the failing health of this failed game over the coming holidays. We hope they will show some signs of life at Bethesda and have a Merry Christmas

"We are all very concerned for the failing health of this failed game"

:steamthis: As 'we' make every effort - however bland and repetitive it may be - to make that happen...

It seems more people complain about the game on this forum than play it. Where do we go to complain about these complaints?

Only thing failing is common sense here... whom with a right set of mind think its okay and healthy to hate on a game even more then a year after it released >_> go play with some grass or do a game of hide and seek with your neighborhood youngsters...

People keep telling me this game is failing but I keep playing it and having fun. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Seems pretty darn successful to me.

I think some are more concerned if the new trend of huge, open, and boring worlds is going to be the trend for tes6, not so much SF itself. SF is what it is, it's unlikely to change fundamentally at this point. Those who love it..GREAT..those who don't are concerned. How SF evolves over time will likely have a significant impact on any future purchase of tes6 by either group. So it will be interesting to see which demographic Beth steers toward between now and then. If they pursue the current trend they should hire better writers imho.

Just like a lot did not care about 1000 planets no one cared how many Sq miles the skyrim map was. They were more concerned what was init. People remember heading off to do something and getting distracted by cave, shrine, dragon whatever. Then remembering 1-2 hours later...oh I meant to do (insert here). Really the only distracting thing between quest points in SF are load screens. As a result no one noticed all that much how bad the writing was in skyrim(or FO). With SF it's front and center.

Then of course there is the whole forgettable "legendary" item rng. Which generally makes people go "meh"...why did I waist time going to this poi, safe, location?...and never do it again. Again no distraction from bad writing or cut/pasted poi's.

EDIT I suspect it's fairly large concern for a lot of the "lurkers"

Looks like 2025 is gonna be another failure for SF at this rate.

Was the thread needed?
I mean come on, even if Bethesda announced a DLC for Starfield today it's going to be near 2026 before that dlc is out.
An since Shattered fart space did 26 percent or something well not a good year.
Did t need the thread though.

At this point I feel a little guilty that I've spent so much time caring about how awful Starfield is... I'm over it, now it's back to morbid curiosity. :beholder:
And why do you make yet another thread about the same topic after the Starfield isn't doing too good thread?

Its a great thread, if you don't like it try not replying. Its not looking good for SF, the data doesn't lie sorry, :cozyspaceengineersa:

Fun games are not a failure. Starfield is fun. I've personally got nearly 300 hours and still no sign of getting bored.

If your questioning if is a fail or not over a year after release then it obviously didn't do that bad...

You haters are giving the game more attention than it deserves and I liked it...

Fallouts a spin off from Elder Scrolls and Starfields a spin off of a spin off because they do t want to release tes 6 without updated hardware and engine...you guys are way to focused on this game...
