Problem with Regrets (mod quest)
I wonder if someone can help me with this. The quest points to "go to Anders Farm" on Montara Luna, but Anders Farm does not appear on that moon. The quest marker does show Montara Luna, but not specifically Anders farm. I think it might have bugged because I took the quest at the same time as the Ranger quest (both are given in the same place the Marshal's office). I got the pointer for the Ranger quest to Wagoneer farm, and already did what I had to do there re: that quest.
I was thinking something like resetting the quest with console to before it started, like if I had never taken it, but I don't know how I would do that.

List of All Quest IDs (DLC Updated) [game8.co] this link has a huge quest ID listed including the shattered Space

SetStage 00257DE1 1000
player.additem 00216F91 1 ;Artifact Lambda
completequest 00257DE1 ;To complete entangled

I use the above in spoiler tags to skip Entangled quest, any quest that takes 20 alt+tab's to see where to go in a quest at youtube is annoying to do and I rather use console to avoid the aggravation and annoyance

I just finished that quest last week and I waited until after I finished the Ranger questline before I started 'Regrets' even though I had accidentally picked up the slate from the Marshall's desk back at the beginning of the Ranger quest.

What I would suggest is go back to a save before you tried to start 'Regrets" and try again because I do remember Anders Farm specifically showing on the map.

Other than that I would ask on the 'Regrets' mod page. The mod author is active and answers questions.

I went back to a save before i had picked up the slate or accepted the ranger quest. I picked up the slate and found the same problem, Anders farm does not appear. I have already done this quest a couple of times before, I wonder what could be the cause. I'll go to the mod page.

I came up with a solution and it worked. Uninstalled the mod. Reinstalled it. Placed it last in load order. Fixed :steamhappy:

you should tell use where the mod is from, is it from Bethesda Creation or Nexusmods site? and the mods name Please

It's in the OP: "Regrets" from Creations.

Also available on Nexus which is where I got it.

I've had more problems with mods in Starfield than I ever had in Skyrim and Fallout 4 combined using hundreds of mods for years. I've had to drop a good number of those I have tried for one bug or the other.
Edit: Just met another similar block. Went to wagoneer and I stumbled upon the note downstairs before reading the note upstairs. Quest stuck. Fortunately I had a very recent save to go back to with this one. I've noticed Starfield has little tolerance for not doing things in exact order...

Ok a couple of things here.

1. I do things out of order all the time in this game and it's always fine.

2. Now if you start adding mods then all bets are off because of so many variables. Things like how well the mod is made, not to mention how well each player put together their load order.

3. The mod author of "Regrets" clearly states that they are new at this and asks us to bear with them. Like i said I do things my way so I rarely play in a linear fashion which was a problem with this mod so I had to start the quest over again and do things in the exact order they were meant to be done in.

I would also mention as a general rules:
A. And just as important as anything else you'll do if you decide to mod this game is to never include any mods in your load order that contain a .esp because Starfield does not use esp's. You might get away with it maybe but it won't be long until things start misfiring the longer you play with an esp installed.

B. I also would not use any mod that contains an esm IF it were made before June 9th 2024 (or at least updated). Because that's the day the Creation Kit came out.

C. Always read everything on every mod page and do not get in the habit of removing mods that contain a esm plug-in mid-playthrough.

Those points are not necessarily aimed at your issue. I'm simply saying they should be followed as a general rule when modding this game.

I know I follow them and never have issues with modding this game. Same goes for others I know who follow the same practices.

Thanks Vlad you are always on spot. However, I can tell you about a bug in vanilla for not going in exact order. After first arriving in Atlantis if you go to Tuala and get recruited into the Vanguard before going to the Lodge and speaking with Sarah, later you can't get the dialogue from Tuala to find Vanguard Moara.
Most of the bugs I've found with Starfield mods are not caused by interactions with other mods, but are problems intrinsic to the mod. Frequently related to textures. In fact, you have helped me with couple of them :lunar2019coolpig:

I'll have to take your word on that one although I feel as if on my previous playthrough I did get recruited into the Vanguard before bringing Sarah with me to visit Tuala and he still gave me Moara's info but I could be wrong so I'll have to test that out one day. Thanks for the info. We all help each other out.

Maybe they fixed it, but it did happen to me at least once.

Ugh... Things like in reply #9 is are the reason I usually keep my games vanilla.

Yeah I'm tempted... But I'm such a mod addict. I'm always saying OK right now the game is stable, no more mods. Then I take a peek in creations or Nexus and I just got to try that :steamfacepalm:

There is one instance where intersecting mods were properly balanced. If you have both "Matters of the Hart" (Sam Coe's quest) and "Shadows in Neon" (ranger quest) active, they coincide with ranger Jaylen Price. However, at that moment Matters of the Hart gets paused and it shows the objective "Complete Shadows in Neon". Very neat except for the fact that it gets Cora Coe to be in the middle of firefights and visiting dubious night clubs. At first I was shocked but now I find it funny. She can't be hurt anyway. :lunar2019grinningpig:
