Actually infuriates me to play this hog slop.

I tried again today.... I thought hey they have that new rev 8 buggy.. maybe its good now.
The buggy is nowhere to be found and the game laggs because of steam all night long.

Literally STEAM OS in the backround eating up all my CPU. I get this wierd elasticbanding and the game shuts down for 30 - 50 seconds every 10 mins because of steam.

THEN when i go to BUY THE Buggy its not available anywhere..... its nowhere in ANY spaceport to buy..... just natta.

Im so done with this total pig slop.

Not sure where you're going, but the Rev-8 is available from the Spaceport Technician.

As for the Steam issue. That's a Steam problem, not a Bethesda problem.

I don't know if I should be impressed by some of these people's dedication to a game they hate, or disappointed by their refusal to move on and find games they enjoy and instead spend most of their time saying the same things over and over to a non-existent crowd.

As for me? The only reason I'm even back here is because I needed help with a bug that I think is caused by a mod.

Right... So, buggy aside... You're literally blaming something wrong with your PC on the game?

How is you literally stating steam... STEAM, which as nothing to do with Bethesda or Starfield... but STEAM... causes you problems specifically a Bethesda or Starfield related issue?

You should be investigating why you're having so many issues with Steam before ranting here about it as if it's a Starfield issue... Just saying...

And... Yeah... Any normal ship tech should sell it... You clearly didn't look very hard if you only went to Jazz...

If you're hated by the factions, try Paradiso... They should sell it too, if I'm not mistaken...

Steam OS is total slop , agreed on that ..

Starfield is so great of a game that it cannot run on total slop like SteamingOS

delete SteamOS and reinstall Windows 11 , best OS for playing games..

Yeah the tech at the crimson pirates didnt have it with or without mods. Its just not there. It should be where you buy ships right on the ship menu? Ill gladly reinstall and try again if i can get the buggy. Was looking forward to relaxing and giving this game a try again but then STEAM goes and ruins everything.

Its 100% Steam OS and its 100% account bound.

iirc it is a different menu option you get from the tech but definitely NOT the same menu that you would buy ships from. Been awhile since I went thru unity and got the buggy so maybe someone else can tell you exactly what speech option you want, because all I remember is it being slightly ambiguous.

AFAIK Starfield is not a recommended game that can run on SteamOS.. that some ppl can run it on Steamdeck w/steamOS do not guarantee full compatibility

SteamOS need hacks and work around to play modern games on steamdeck.. thats why i think steamdeck should be used only for emulator or abandonware and never AAA games.. it is far too weak compared to Legion GO or Asus ALLY

Well, as others have said, the Rev-8 is bought at ship technicians. I bought mine at New Atlantis. When you go to the technician, look at the dialog options CAREFULLY. And Steam OS is no good, I'm not sure why you are even trying to use it. You can run games you own on Steam without using the Steam OS, try that instead.

If you don't have that line, a mod is/was responsible (saves that were modded at some point can still be broken after you uninstall the mods).
