Starfield Not launching

I am not a tech savy guy at all. I have tried all the recommended repairs to make it launch, It seems after the last update on Nov 5th it wont allow me to launch the game. I did the file verification, Uninstalled and reinstalled. Any help would be great! thank you

There was no update to the base game on the 5th. The beta was released, if you don't subscribe to the beta it should have no effect.

I'd suggest seeing if anything else updated like video or windows.

Ok I have checked windows for updates and im all up to date. And my nvidia video card is also up to date.

were you using mods at anytime?

Im more than confident now that I was not running any mods. Im sure I would not be able to get them to work to be honest. I stay away from that stuff for fear of having this happening to me..

Im attempting another uninstall and reinstall in a last ditch attempt. Other than that im completely stumped.

Hopefully you won't need it but if you do don't be intimidated by it. Much easier than it might look and it's all spelled out step by step. Do follow everything though.

Just the simple reinstall and install did not work. I completed the steps for the true clean reinstall. Dowloading again. Will let you know if im successful

list your computer spec here , most of major problem of starfield not launching is underspeced hardware or failing components in your comps (ram/ssd) or OS / Antivirus setting blocking game lunch

The full wipe and reinstall worked.. No idea how that would have happened. Many thanks to Vlad 254.

Normally I would have started there but the key words for me as to why i didn't was when OP said "after the last update on Nov 5th it wont allow me to launch the game." so it did launch for them and they also did not say they were never able to play. I may have gotten there eventually but couple with some other things they said and since they were about to uninstall/reinstall again anyway.....
