QUESTION : UC Bounty cannot be paid , even a measly 260 credits...

was accidentaly moved a bottle on table and suddenly a police accosted me , i tried running to Viewport and trying to clear my bounty.. but i cannot 'it is said i cannot clear the bounty if i am in UC system?'

then i tried to go to akila , there the freestar ships also want to arrest me when i popped in their system..

so instead of visiting quest planets i now roam around everywhere having fun with side quest in random systems.. scanning gas giants.. space combat.. selling everything to the DEN in wolf system..

i dont get this 'cannot paid bounty' thing , i mean i KILLED random miners in Kreet Colonies and i got minor bounty that i paid in Viewport.. but just accidentally moving something on the table and i cant pay the fine..

i guess my next step would be : Get Mantis ship , Get the money from Amalgest (Olympus sustem) , create Outpost in Bessel IIIb (as per the tip i got from youtubb)

Wait, whats the problem here? You cant land anywhere safely in freestar space to pay the bounty? If thats the case, just build a bounty clearance thingy on your ship or an outpost.

Just go to a planet that's not in UC space or Freestar space, in other words not in the settled system. There are plenty of systems out there like that, you have probably been to or are currently in one if you've been as you say "instead of visiting quest planets i now roam around everywhere having fun with side quest in random systems". I've had to do it myself before. I also keep a bounty clearing board on my ship so as soon as I'm not in part of the settled systems I can clear my bounty from there.

Also, often when outside the settled systems and see a "Civilian Outpost" you'll find a bounty clearing board outside.

To pay off a bounty, you need to be outside of that nations systems.

If you have a bounty in UC territory, going to Akila will let you clear UC bounties.

The Freestar ships will attack you only if you A) attack a freestar ship in orbit, or B) you have a Freestar Bounty.

Quickest way is to build a bounty board on your ship using the "outpost" system. There's a switch in your cockpit, as well as access through the scanner.

Second way is building an Outpost and building a bounty board there.

You can also find them around the game, such as on the Key, or in random settlement POI's you can come across when exploring.

thank you for the tip on building bounty board on ships and outpost.. i dont even know this option existed !!

before i save scummed i tried to be reasonable and the police tooke me inside UC vigilance interrogation room with some annoying dude trying to force me to volunteer for something

That's actually a quest starter. I don't want to spoil it, but if you join him you can do 2 things; Join him for a new questline, or shoot the guard and run for your ship.

(If you decline completely, you'll be teleported elsewhere. Make sure you go with the agree option whatever your true choice is)
