From a higher level view:
mantis ship isn't too hard to fix up, relatively speaking. Lots of unnecessary stuff leaves room to get it fully upgraded easily. It gets bonus points for scaring off some attackers.
The armor is iffy... its the best in the game early on, but getting a set worth having at NG+++ levels ... its really hard to get 1-2 good modifiers AND a high enough DR to wear all 3 pieces. Take what you can get... if one or two of the pieces is endgame quality, call it a winner. My last 2 NGs, I have had white armor either all the way through or so far through it that a decent upgrade was just a few before time to NG again... it rains good guns but good armor is so rare...
everyone has their ideas but my latest razorleaf fixed the entrance (forward facing) and habs (one level) and upgraded it (guns, shields, etc). Only B class but it can hold its own. I had to make it a little longer to fix the habs but the soul of the original is there.

That whole artefact thing. Ugh.
You could have still had the powers but reworked as skills or suit enhancements. Speaking of, they really SHOULD have offered Vartiations. The vanilla is just bad, fortunately several modders have stepped up on that score.
Starborn : "reborn" human that went through some unidentified universe hoping portal, reconditionned in a space suit and space ship of unknown origin. Abilities to use gravitational anomalies (powers), respond to artifact "signals"
Dragonborn : mortal blessed with dragon blood and soul by the god Akatosh
The two things are completely, i mean entirely different.
I honestly cannot tell if you are being sarcastic or not. No fair, if you are you have to Lable it.
The Mantis was also a terrible parent, unlike mine.
But I did enjoy the quest.
Can you elaborate why ?
If you disagree with my post can you point out where ?
I think its the comma in "The two things are completely, i mean entirely different."
If it had been a period or a semi colon it would read more definitive. The comma makes (at least to me) that you maid a sly winking slip of tongue.
I mean my own personal opinion that the Starborn is EXACTLY like the dragonborn is pretty set. It would be like arguing that the Transformer Jetfire is totally different from the Robotech Plane

Interesting
Not a native english speaker, not going to argue about this
the collectible power mechanic is similar, everything else is different especially story wise so your transformer analogy doesn't apply at all
Its very much explained (to a certain extent of course). Starborns manipulate gravitational anomalies that result from interactions with other universes. The hints are very strong if you pay attention to the "entangled" mission, the power animations and the stuff inside the temples.
