Why haven't the temple sections been changed?
Does anyone like these? Not even the first one I did was fun, let alone the 50th. They are one of the worst set pieces I've ever seen in a game. There's nothing fun, interesting, or challenging about them. They are just tedious busywork and I can't think of a redeeming quality about them.

Whoever came up with their design should probably never work in the video game industry ever again. The same goes for anyone who tested these and thought they were good. Those aren't things I say lightly. The temples are awful and it is astounding that Bethesda couldn't come up with anything better. It's unacceptable that nothing has been done to adjust them in 11 months since release.

I don't think they are meant to be fun...

I find the entire 'Starborn' thing unfun so the temples are a non issue since I just ignore them entirely.

Yeah for such a key factor in the main story line they are so bland and repetitive its a bit of a worry...

Its literally the stupidest half baked system built into the game...

and its kinda sad.

Really I felt the same way about Dragons in Skyrim. How does someone manage to make something like dragons boring and repetitive?

Nah man Dragons rocked... At least there was some interesting gamplay wise attached to it, and they get harder and harder, with the temples its the same boring thing over and over... Its not even a challenge and nothing ever changes lol...

They were boring. Ugh I just want to go sell something and a dragon is eating the town. Again. The first one was fine. Making them a frequent random encounter was stupid.

Edit: I'm not praising the temples either. The first one was also fine. Making all of them a 'puzzle' with the same solution was stupid, and the fight afterwards was repetitive too.

Install the mod 'run for your lives' and it becomes much better lol... If you dont like Skyrim thats fine - Millions of others indeed do...

And in any case i would take a random systemic system that can play out multiple ways over something thats the same boring thing over and over any day haha...

I never said I didn't like Skyrim. Just that the Main questlines are always the worst part of Beth's games and I usually ignore them. Luckily they are a very small part of things to do in their games.

I was interested in the first one, but doing the exact same thing every time was a poor choice. That being said, I’ve never thought they would go back and change them. Redesigning all of them to make unique puzzles or something, yeah, not going to happen.

I could see a mod doing something with them in the future... Just like the POI's situation, mods could add many more and make them more interesting...

Hopefully. It was a big WTF moment for me, I was shocked they weren’t like unique Zelda style temples where you have to use the new power to solve a puzzle. One of the better criticisms I’ve seen of the game on these forums.

I’m still not 100% sure what I’m doing, I just float around to the orb until it finishes. They are pretty quick though, so whatever.

The temples are basically this games version of word walls from skyrim. The fun comes from using the powers, not really the process in gaining them.

But I do agree, the temples do get a little tedious if you try to rush them all at once, I don't mind doing them though.

Easy fix, get a mod that limits the number of spots you pass through to one. quick easy and then you get the power and the starborn dude to kill. Fun.
