Star Wars Outlaws vs Starfield.
Hello everyone, after watching an extensive gameplay of more than 20 hours of Star Wars Outlaws and comparing it with Starfield, there is no comparison.
Starfield is infinitely better in all aspects, the new Ubisoft game is boring, repetitive with disastrous animations and non-existent AI, the character models and space battles are terrible, it will not come close to the next Indiana Jones game and for those who criticize Starfield you will be able to see the difference between one space game and another. Although Starfield was a bit of a disaster, now it is very good and is thousands of times more fun and complete.
I hope that the next remake of Knights of the Old Republic meets my expectations and shows Ubisoft what a good Star Wars game is.
Thanks.

Got 6h on the game...
And Ubisoft made a decent game, they didn't try to push any boundaries from space flight or quest.
Kay is kind your basic Ubisoft character, not that deep or anything same for most encounters. At any moment i tell myself damn that person steals the screen. Next
Graphically, its a mix of gorgeous panorama and sometimes, glitchy lights, blurry textures etc. Nothing is consistent but it's not beautiful as Ghost of Tsushima, Rdr 2 or Cyberpunk 2077.
Space flight is very arcadey more than Starfield, i'm suprise to say i prefer Starfield approach for that. You can't leave your sit in space for the moment (but probably all along).
Customisation too, very basic, can't change haircut, only top, holster and pants. That's it. You can customise speeder and it's good. Ship ? very basic for cosmetic, paint, combustion color and some gri gri.
Gampelay is clunky too be honest from AI or animations, you never really feel in control with kay.
Overall not a bad game, 6/10 for the moment but i was more immerse with Starfield even if a lot of things bothered me.

Yep, that sounds about like what I was thinking it would be without even having played it. I’m glad I didn’t preorder, but there was never the possibility of that happening anyway.

Another thing I didn't like from the extensive gameplay I've seen is that you steal from NPCs in front of them and they don't even notice, literally looking at their faces and they don't notice, the NPCs are almost all static, they don't move except for a couple of them and I don't understand how you can kill an NPC in one hit Bud Spencer style and then need three or four blaster shots to kill him.
I continue to reaffirm myself, Starfield is infinitely better in almost everything, more challenging and fun and as a Star Wars game it meets the requirements and if it comes close, as I said before Starfield with the Star Wars mod is better.

To be fair to both games here (as someone who was replaying Ghost of Tsushima up until switching over to Outlaws, both PS5 versions), the graphical quality/fidelity of Outlaws far surpasses Ghost of Tsushima. GoT is beautiful due to the art style and aesthetics of the environment, but has some fairly grainy textures compared to Outlaws and the character faces are pretty stiff. The facial animations in Outlaws could certainly be better, but are quite better than GoT.

To be clear, I agree Ghost of Tsushima is beautiful, but it's beauty lies in it's aesthetics and style. Outlaws, graphically/aesthetically, is exactly what I would imagine Star Wars to look like in the era it takes place in. And the graphical quality is actually really good

Maybe on PS5 dude, cause i needed a reshade with sharp and HDR to get something crisp and some contrast...
Ghost of Tsushima feels very polish on PC (im not talking about the art style, i got what you say) but there is no artifacts, glitchs. Even the water in Outlaws feels weird. I got most of my settings on high, except medium for RTX settings and sorry feels like your average ubisoft game graphics. I remember how Origins and Odyssey were gorgeous even now. Launched Valhalla this year, there is some sort of downgrade. i don't know.

The water looks awful and the graphic quality is very fair, the gameplay I saw was on PC at 4K with everything to the maximum and it is not that good at all, very fair I would say.

Yep!! I know exactly what you mean lol It seems like those kinds of NPCs that you're describing have been a thing since the first Assassins Creed. Doesn't seem like the NPC behavior has ever been updated.

Yeah, stealing with Nix is super cheaty. Because the npc didn't try too look at where is going or you have to be hidden on a corner for nix to bring the thing.
Honestly Star wars Genesis is really immersive, i m playing at the same time cause the bounty hunter thing with companions, ship and very customisable gameplay hit the spot for me. Outlaws is decent but not something i will probably come back you are some sort of an outlaw but without conviction. You definitely got the feeling you are in a video game, universe is good but it's Ubilike...
i remember at the begininng of rumors, journalist were talking about a really immersive-sim game on the SW universe, with proper background etc and when i heard it was Ubisoft i was like, hum not this one. Ubisoft make decent game ( i dont put WD legion, Valhalla, Breakpoint, Far cry 6, didn't play Avatar) but they always missing the GOAT. When you have SW, you can just skyrock the attention from gamers..

No matter how much they want to sell me this Ubisoft game, it is not worth the price they are asking for it. Maybe in a while, in a Steam sale, it will be for 5 euros or dollars, and that is already a lot.
The fact that it is Ubisoft and their weird launcher weighs in for my purchase. If the reviews I see don't point my compass in the right direction, it'll be a no go. Because of Ubisoft, it'll need to be a solid heading with a narrow allowance.

Yet, I don't immediately dismiss something I know little about because of the manufacturer. Developers with good reputations have released stinkers. Developers with bad reputations have released gold mines. I'll give anyone at least one chance even if they don't have the best reputation unless the reputation is outright criminal (and not perceived as criminal by the entitled).

(Bethsoft lost the chance for my preorders on everyone, though. Enough people abuse a privilege too much, everyone loses the privilege. Bethsoft's SF was the tipping point. Bethsoft has one last chance to make me care about SF. I'm not holding out much hope, but they'll still get the chance. I'm betting I'll not be in this forum after September, but maybe they'll prove me wrong.)

Outlaws has a lot to prove to those who I trust to have a consistent opinion which I'll convert their biases into my preferences. So, it's not as simple as reviews.

But that's Outlaws. That's not SF. They each have their own battles to win.

You are absolutely right that Starfield's launch was a disaster and I am also wary of buying BGS games day one now but it is much better now and I hope that the DLC that is coming out now and I already bought the fat edition of the size since what I have seen looks good and I am looking forward to Knights of the Last Republic - Remake which for me is the best Star Wars game for many reasons and I hope it meets my expectations within the Star Wars universe, we all know here that the only good thing is the original trilogy and KOTOR is Star Wars in its purest form, the second trilogy episodes 1,2 and 3 mehhhh I didn't like them and the last trilogy is directly for the trash.

Im gonna say the quiet part out loud. Outlaws is a girl game, there I said it.

They might as well rename it Star Wars : Inlaws

I'd actually be more inclined to play it, if that was the case. Imagine a Star Wars, Sims-like game? And not like that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ DLC for the Sims 4. Full character customization and clothing options. Build your own starship and player home. Star Wars careers. A needs system.

Marry a Twi'Lek...every nerd's dream.

Hell, it would basically be singleplayer Star Wars Galaxies. Is it too much to ask for a game like this?

I mean if she was enough complex or interesting... But no, just she is the main protagonist. That's it, GJ ubisoft as usual.

I think you're asking too much. It seems that now the supposedly big companies (there are some exceptions like Capcom and other developers) want to get the maximum benefit with the minimum effort with games that are not up to par and on top of that they tell you that it costs millions to develop and make them when due to the quality they have it is not like that.
I hope they go back to making good games made with care and thinking about the players and not about money at all costs with false promises and short videos to fool you, now they seem like politicians.

I kinda see them as vary different games trying to accomplish different things
and I plan to play them both to scratch very different itches.

Now I see why its not on steam, it would get torn to pieces in the reviews.
