texture

hi all really enjoying the game so far but there is one thing I cant get my head around, how to install and where to put texture mods like clothing etc I know you have to download manually. thanks for any help given

Usually, the mod's files are dropped in the 'data' folder of your game install. Then you need to place the name of the .esm file in your 'plugins.txt' file (which is located at 'users/appdata/local/starfield'. Make sure to also put a '*' at the beginning of the .esm file name.

in steamuser/my documents/my games/ Starfield there is another Data folder
you find a texture folder in there, put them there

This is no longer needed - the game does this automatically.

As schwarzrotes posted, if the files are loose files, they go in the my documents/my games locations - if they are archived BA2 files and have a plugin, they go in the game's root folder Data folder with the .esm and all the other base game module files.

thanks guys could they also go into steam/steamapps/common/starfield/data/textures ?if I go in steamuser /my documents/my games/starfield as stated above my documents folder is empty ?

do you use a modmanager wich may have put your savefiles somewhere else? otherwise this folder should not be empty as it has your save folder too

Vortex will create a junction between your game directory and your My Documents folder so you simply install with mod manager, in this case Vortex, like we always did.
