Many items work, but a decent sized handful just fall through the floor including the xenosnuggle and glacticat. I have lost several items entirely, I think they fell on through the whole world.

It should also work with other furniture if you look for their ID
The only issue is that furniture spawned like this can't be moved via the build menu, but you can remove it with console commands by opening the console, clicking on it, and typing 'disable', and then spawning it again wherever you want.
I'd like to mention this doesn't work on ships. Clicking the bench doesn't select it, for some reason it selects random ship parts (like walls and floors) and can potentially screw things up if you don't put it back, like falling into space 🤣
It kinda sucks that this isn't being fixed in the upcoming patch :/
The lack of a hotfix for this and many other critical bugs is why I still keep a negative review. If they would fix the worst of the bugs, I would move to positive.
It does work on ships (on PC cheat console), if you know this trick: sometimes (more often than not) you have to left-click and then mouse-scroll through the objects until it displays the FURN ID and then you can "modpos z .2" or sometimes more is needed, so "modpos z .3". Hope that helps.
