I hope the difficulty will be leveled to the player, so it isn't too easy. So if you are level 250, the enemies should be hard. Not easy level 20 pickings.

Remember the first free bounty quest? Was way too easy without level adjustment mods.

What do you think?

Anyone?

I suppose you could use the difficulty sliders provided by the game. No mods needed. Just a thought. Doesn't bother me either way.

Yes, i hope its level adjusted. Bethesdas history with level adjusting has been really poor, however.

I knew someone would mention this, but it doesn't really fix the problem. Then you just have to adjust and readjust options all the time. The player shouldn't need to do that. Besides, even if you set it to the hardest, if you are high level, low level npcs on the highest difficulty will still be too easy.

Isn't that how it should be? Low level enemies should be easy to defeat. Otherwise what is the point of progression? I can't stand games where leveling feels pointless because enemies remain challenging from beginning to end. Even Dark Souls isn't like this. Games that are tend to be criticized for having poor leveling when it feels meaningless. For example, Bethesda's Oblivion is like this where the leveling is so horrible that at some point you eventually have to face bandits with full glass armor sets. Which is just ridiculous from a game perspective and lore perspective.

Well we differ in opinion. I think the game should keep up with the player. Otherwise what will be the point of Shattered Space if it will just be a walk in the park?

Good thing there are mods for this to tailor the player's experience. Just hope those mods will work with Shattered Space.

I mean I think Shattered Space should probably level with the player. That's fair. I thought you just meant in general. Like outside of Shattered Space.

Although, in most Bethesda games, they have a set level that is advised. But maybe Shattered Space will be different.

Yes thank you!!

I think you should be fighting stuff around your level... +-10 levels or maybe +-20 when above level 100. But what I think does not matter. The devs think we should be fighting stuff level 10-30 most of the time even at level 200.

The highest level for enemies is 110 I think. I doubt it would be any different in Shattered Space and, frankly, I don’t see a problem with that. Your hard manual labor should result in your having an edge, not the other way around. I view it as a reward. I have always been a fan of fixed level enemies, Gothic-style, so pardon my bias.
If you crave a challenge at lvl 250 then maybe use some basic entry level equipment instead of legendary.

That being said, this expansion is most probably the “end-game content” for higher level players, similar to what Nuka and Far Harbor were in FO4. At least I hope it is. Really looking forward to this mission but trying to avoid too much hype so I wouldn’t feel disappointed and betrayed by not seeing any rainbow ponies that I imagined I would be able to ride over there.

Don't think 'rainbow ponies' are on the cards.
"Shattered Space is about the knowledge you should really shut away in a box and never touch. travelling to the House Va'ruun's homeworld, you will find Creatures are emerging from the other side of the vortex, and they're certainly not happy to be on an unfamiliar planet."

There is no possible way to balance around high level players with reasonable ranks in slow time.

At that point, the game is a literal cake walk no matter what difficulty you set it for. Enemies could take a 100 shots and one shot the player and it still would not be difficult, just tedious.

Bethesda doesn't make 'hard' games, they make games for console players that don't play games. True story.

it'll scale , this isnt a mod , it's dlc ,
but it's dlc , that doesnt mean it's going to be great , that means its a relatively cheap add on and isnt going to redefine the game, it's extra content that wasnt necessary for the game but a nice diversion

if i end my posts with true story does that make my posts true ?
true story
or just ,,,, true story as in trying to sound like it is true ,,, when it's not true story ,
seems to me anyone that says true story , is probably not telling a true story, but wants to sound like they're telling a true story

What makes it a true story is that it's true. Since you haven't contradicted a single point and are instead arguing the meaning of two words in common usage, I'll take it as read that you have no rebuttal.

If you want to know what a game looks like when it's made for people who enjoy games, give DOS2 or BG3 a whirl. It's really a night and day difference between a corporate Microsoft product and a product from an actual gaming company that likes making games.

Hell, play Fallout New Vegas for that matter. In fairness, even Obsidian isn't Obsidian anymore though.

If you can't see the difference, I'd simply suggest you don't like games all that much or haven't played enough of them to tell a difference.
