Default planet material
Planets are not rendering properly. They Say "Default planet material" and also "The swap hasn't occurred you shouldn't be seeing this". They are green with red stripes with the above writing all over them. Obviously a prob with the update. Will reboot and try again.

Restart the game/verify files

verify files

Yeah, always verify files after an update... No matter the game, I find this resolves so many issues as, all too often, Steam's been corrupting files during updates lately...

It was about old mods residues for me. Started to play after a year so it was brand new download but I deleted everything in C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\My Games\Starfield\Data and started the game again. I think it was some StarUI old files in there.

Yeah, that'll do it too... Surprised the game even loaded, TBH...

This was actually caused by the latest Bethesda update:
