Hotfix with Mods. No visible Ships In Any Playthrough.
Not sure if anyone else is having these issues, but ever since the hotfix all my ships are either partially invisible or dont load in. This not only effects player ships, but they also affect all NPC ships. Either they be hostiles or civi NPC ships. Load order has not changed before or after the hotfix. This is also affecting all playthroughs on all saves. If anyone by any chance are using ship edited mods, be careful.

Which mods?
torrbeebunnbee Jul 3, 2024 @ 5:23pm
The only mods I know that does any real edits to ships that I personally use are Useful Brigs with the Non-Lethal Framework and patch add-on and TN's Useful Ship Structures. The latter being an older mod made prior to the CK. Worked fine the day before the hotfix though. I also run Starvival, but from my knowledge that doesn't make any edits to ship parts but uses the ship parts to calculate fuel usage when using the mod's Ship systems and fuel add-on module. Might have to wait a few more days to see if any of those need updated. However TN's Ship mod has not been officially ever ported into CK.

when the game updates some mods will require an update too, be patient it usually takes a day or 2 for mods to catch up ,
set the game to only update on launch use sfse to launch the game and turn off steam cloud for starfield to have a better modded game experience

I think you're right, I'd lean towards the Useful Ship Structure mod. The brig-related ones were all updated today, but like you say TN's one is from Nov. Disable (if using a mod manager) or remove it, open the game, save, quit, re-enable/add the mod again and relaunch?

FWIW - the author has added mods to Creations, though this mod was bundled just into an AIO for the ship mods. Perhaps ping them on Nexus, it might just be a matter of them re-saving it and uploading a new version to Nexus.

All the store mods need to be updated as well.

Although Starfield was started in 2012 and advertised as Skyrim in space, an offline game 25 years in the making by a top game maker, then delayed twice and finally up for sale in 2023 the game is broken and missing 100 things previous games had, and needs massive online only maintenance from paying customers to be playable as of today, and the already paid for DLC still isnt out.

Just keeping it real, and no worries, really am just saying how it is. :steamhappy: This feature creep and false advertising stuff is going on across the home entertainment video game industry and more, not my fault or problem, just want the game i got as a present to not be absolute trash.

Yeah I already tried that. Didn't seem to work, its too "baked in" to the saves at this point. Its probably the culprit here however. I already left the TN a message over on Nexus in the reply section for the mod in question. Here is to hoping he gets it properly updated or I am out of 4 characters lol. Oh well, the bane of Bethesda modding.

i see this is your first bethesda game , and your 1st time modding a bethesda game , you'll get the hang of it , it's not just point and click, you need to stay on top of changes, know what you installed and how things work

Its a hobby, an offline hooby at that, as much as it is being dragged online.

As for me i have alot of laughs and wish everyone the best, really. I dont know whats going on everywhere and things are complicated so i dont judge others or wish bad things on others.

As for Starfield it looks like it got hijacked and the only ones that should be worrying at the moment is the hijackers. Maybe to strong of words for a fun space science fiction video game but the best i could think of at the moment.

"The hijacking of Bethesda flight Starfield to New Atlantis" topic title has come to mind a few times though, but maybe no one else would think its funny.

Evidence of "just because you think something's funny, doesn't mean it's appropriate".
Humour at the expense of others joy is right up there.

Decide for yourself what the situation looks like because that is what all my comments have been about, nothing personal.

You however shouldnt take the situation so personally and maybe try have fun because it really is all about having fun about space fiction writing and all that.

Really hope everything goes well is all, and just waiting for the already paid for DLC and trying to keep up and have fun.

I try reassure others to not let bullies bother them often as well i think, maybe thats stupid, what ever.

Really its like this, everyone got on Bethesda flight Starfield to New Atlantis, and the pilot is the famous Elder Scrolls Skyrim salesman. Then the pilot isnt there any more in the latest update and the plane is heading in an entirely different direction, and im just saying "Hey wait where the hell if this plane going?" :steamhappy:

If you use mods you really need to learn how to protect your game from updates or this will happen every time there is an official update...

Its only been that way with BGS games for 22 years or so - Since Morrowind...
