Stop Using Floating Markers, they're ruining your experience
Most of the best Bethesda games don't have floating markers. All they have is a compass pointing you in the right direction, and it was up you to find the content.

Personally, I think that following a blue floating dot everywhere obliterates the immersion. I don't understand why everyone is using them. There is a compass on the bottom left corner, use it. You can always turn it back on if you're really lost. I'm just a fallout fan, and this is my advise take it or leave it.

Vlad 254: go to Settings/Interface then turn off Floating Markers = Done

Sorry but a quest titled 'Go Talk To Clover' isn't telling me where to go if I have no idea who Clover is.

I still remember Morrowind, and using detailed descriptions to find quest locations. It had issues (still don't know where that farmer having troubles with mudcrabs is) but I did prefer it over the markers.

So I have no issue with markers being gone, but a major overhaul of what's given in the journal for quests would also need to be done as well.

And that's immersion to you? A compass pointing to a person whom you have no idea who they are or where they are or why you would want to talk to them? Sorry but I don't see how a magic compass is less immersion breaking than a marker. But if it makes you happy turn off your markers and follow your magic compass.

Hey, maybe I can jump in here and talk to Vlad again. I'll copy/paste from that last thread posted above.

"@Vlad 254 So I tried messing with these settings. None of them disabled the bars over enemies' heads. Didn't see anything else in any settings to disable them."

Only affects DPS popups and quest markers, but not the shield/armor and health bars. (Red and white bars.) Looks like a mod is the only way to disable them for now, unless I missed something. Don't think I did this time. Any other ideas?

I like the quest markers and DPS pops, and even the enemy level display is good, but those two bars get in the the way of sniping.

I wish every game had an option to remove all mission markers and button markers as well. Well, every floating thingy and glowing markers on objects you can see through walls and such...

How about I play the way I want and you stop telling others how to play? Mkay?
