Narwhal - Game Breaker

On my second play-through, got the Narwhal last week, and encountered the bugs a lot of people mention involving the ship disappearing, etc., most of which are easily "solved," but loaded up today after docking at The Den and the ship is just GONE, not able to be retrieved anywhere.

I loaded up older saves, only to find my character clipping through the ground with no ship around, and so on.

Very frustrating bug.

I wonder if that happens to someone elses olso with same ship.
But, if u have other ships you might want to try to go to ship dealer and look for it that way.
When u buy another ship u have to uppertunity to make it the 'home' ship and or update your ships. Did u try that, and if so did the narwhal appeared?

It wasn`t the ship that was the problem but making any upgrades to any ship caused the same problem i had it with the mantis ship the flloor became see through but only when upgraded at the den. Not sure if its been sorted since the new beta patch

Ya it's specifically the Narwhal vanilla without any mods on it. I've tried 3 times to purchase and use it, and it gets screwed up as soon as i fast travel somewhere. So buggy it screws with that whole save and I have to go back to older save to continue playing. This is actually a pretty big issue for lots of people as it's a sweet ship to purchase without modding, so lots of people are getting this ship and having issues. Sadly, this seems not to be on Bethesda's radar, as it seems the ship is still bugged and wasn't fixed during this new update.

I wouldn't trust that ship no matter what anybody tells you.

I sold it five minutes after purchasing it. Took the financial loss and didn't care.

Purchased the Dragonfire II instead. Fell in love with it. Married it. Upgraded it with the best parts in the game.

And that was all I needed for the rest of the way.

I've just bought the narwhal on a test save, couldnt get the bug to trigger after travelling to various locations and doing everything I could. Landing on new areas, fast travel, taking off, sitting in cockpit, saving/reloading inside the ship etc.

Was your ship bugged before updating to the current version ?

Also, when you're experiencing the bug, can you tell me what happens if you can open your map and fast travel somewhere ? What happens then ?

Sorry for the super delayed response. Took a break from the game altogether. Tested it out purchasing the Narwhal again and it's still bugged sadly. Yes, the ship was bugged before updating. I'm experiencing the same basic bugs as everyone else...invisibility, can't take off a planet, lags out in space and etc. The one big thing I have come across, which I didn't notice before is from the vendor! Veronica at Taiyo Astroneering in Neon. Even though I go back to an old save, every time I attempt the Narwhal and purchase it...the vendors inventory increases by one of each ship if that makes sense. So, now that I have attempted purchasing the Narwhal 5 times...the vendor now has 5 of each ship they originally sell. I don't know how, but it affects my old saves as well which spooks me a little from attempting the Narwhal anymore. Also, the order of her inventory is in random, but now there are 5 Narwhal ships to purchase from her. Doesn't matter which one I purchase either. They are all bugged.
