Its so epic its hard to believe but Starfield is one of the most expensive home entertainment games ever made, in an industry thats been failing and making bad games for a decade, and is in the middle of continuing to fail hard and make bad games, and hundreds of millions, maybe many billions in the air, and everything. So its really very interesting.
If there were not so many billions in the air Bloomberg wouldnt have taken notice at all, regardless the drama or anything, considering its home entertainment and everything. I am guessing anyway.
Critically acclaimed top selling videogame is a failure because a YouTube clickbait content creator made a clickbait video.
Didn't you know?, Youtube video's are 100% legit and never faked! You can trust everything posted on there! /S
In this day and age of AI enhanced everything, Google's own phone's being able to edit pictures as you take them, and full on deepfakes, it's amazing that people still believe the **** they find on Youtube.... That they trust anything they read on the internet, read in modern published books or are told via the TV is also pretty amazing...
I totally agree. I much prefer the 'guy down the pub' source for all my information. Much more reliable, and sometimes you get lucky and they even buy you a pint.
What is with people being unable to express their own opinions, ideas and thoughts, but instead having to post a video, of a person, reacting to something else.
I don't actually need to watch a video again in person to draw my conclusions.
a game title as far as I know someone can see it even better while playing and just easily draw their own conclusions about what we are buying today.
Facts are what we see in a game title yes it is a fact.
??? Bethesda reports it was the best launch in the history of the company. Also, released a summary of all the player activity that they collected data on in the first 3 months. The stat's are terrific and don't support your assertion.
What were the expectations? Please break down the expectations into both units sold and profits vs actual units sold and actual profits. Thanks.
It seems I'm late to noticing this. Both Jason Schreier and Videogamer[www.videogamer.com] made note of this months ago. Jason Schreier even claimed that the $235 Million in steam revenue was an outlandish estimate."

I doubt if Starfield has broke even at this point in time.
Where a piece of software forms part of a service offering, rather than a direct sale-only, "break even" calculations are much more complicated than "how many did it sell in the first 3 months", wouldn't you imagine?
