Do you happen to be using or have you ever installed a mod in Starfied even if you immediately uninstalled it?
I ask because 1. I've not heard of this issue yet and 2. I've seen people have inventory issues with mods.
Finally and as a last resort. You can open the console (the tilde key ~) and type the following;
SetInChargen 0 0 0
Using console commands will disable your ability to earn achievements. There is a mod to allow you to earn achivements so if that's important to you then I'd suggest one that has no requirements which is:
Starfield Achievement Enabler
https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/1402
yes i did recently install mods, just some cosmetic changes.
i do have an acheivment enabler installed but im unsure as how to tell if it is working properly. the one i have installed is the baka achivement mod., i will install this one though.
i will try the console command and see if that works
Sadly I HAVE encountered this bug and nothing I did corrected it. Tried all the (at the time) tricks in my bag... nothing.
Once this bug hits, the save is garbage :( <- the only fix is to load a save before going thru the Unity.
From that point on I used to make Quicksaves in the Unity (this was before they allowed you to make manual saves).
As soon as I entered the next universe, even before sitting down in the Starborn Guardian's chair I would check to see if I could save. On my 38+ trips thru the Unity, iirc I only had this issue once.
Looks like this fixed it. Fortunately I had a save right before going into unity because I was trying to save scum alternate timelines. Didn’t get one this time but I guess I’ll stick with this for awhile
PS You know how to tell from "that" screen IF you got a unique universe, right?
NO... How?
EDIT: Fixed the actual text - sorry :(
Thank you. Been through Unity many times and never stopped to think about it.
I thought I'd already uploaded a screenshot but did not... until just now
