Emil Pagliarulo is the problem
Emil Pagliarulo is the design director and lead writer for Starfield, Fallout 76 and was senior director and writer for skyrim and Fallout 4. All games with bad (him as writer) to ♥♥♥♥ (him as lead writer) writing (story, dialoguie, etc). Him being design director also explains the archaic gameplay design of Starfield.

Now focusing on Starfield. sure its basically the same engine since 1997 but a designer with the experience of someone that has worked as long as him should have been able to think so far out of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that he would be able design ♥♥♥♥ to remedy these limitations. Like the design choice to show a black default loading screen when warping instead of a white one. A mod that turns that loading screeen white makes the loading screen so much more bearable yet it wasnt thought of.

The guy who worked on a bunch of great games is a problem. Interesting take.

Only got one thing to say, dont buy anymore craps from Bethesda!

Was really hoping Will Shen would be taking his place. BGS lost about their only hope for interesting storylines when he left. Emil seems like one of those that only fail upward. He's made the right connections it seems.

Speak for yourself, I like the Black Loading Screen. White hurt my eyes.

Steam forums logic at its finest! Sanity has no place here.

If he’s the problem then I don’t want the “solution”; he’s been writing some of my favourite games of the last decade then

I wouldn't worry about replying to anyone with that name.

Obviously -= something to prove.

Define bunch. Which games did you find were great? It could be that the games you think were great are ones where he had a minor or not as major of a role as he had in Starfield.
Also as many people that think the games were great also think they were bad or not as good. You cant tell me that the Fallout 4 writing was good. It was in fact objectively not good/ borderline ♥♥♥♥.

Never judge a cover by its blurb as they say.

Define bunch..

More than one. Less than ten. Above ten would have been "loads of" or "a lot of".

All of the ones you listed already. If you want to post more games that he worked on, I'll tell you if I liked them too.

This could turn into a nice little question and answer session.

The games you liked, you liked so much you have forgotten them? Also this question and answer session would be worthless without a basic foundation of age, genre preference, how long you have been playing video games, etc. As usually the more and varied games you play, the better your understanding of general mechanics and systems get thus further refining your taste and preference in games.
