I am simply don't want to play without, because UI is a mess and it is an essential part of loot-n-shoot game. And yeah, the mod is dead and there is no replacement, and Bethesda isn't doing anything in this department.
Just like, BTW, there are lots of other useful mods, that are dead and unsupported right now. Like all other UI modifications for a different menus or game regimes, or 120FPS UI, or Undelayed Menus Mod, or different Textures or Effects enchantments, HUD rework mods etc. Lots of staff that had been made my in-game experience much more better. But they are unsupported right now and modding community showing no interest to come back. While Bethesda is somewhat ignoring several very important issues with the game for some kind of, looks like, ideological reasons. Because Todd «Old School» Howards don't want to change it due to the fact, that Daggerfall was the best game of all time and some UI decision should be held forever after.
Just look at the first several pages on NexusMods site and see what gamers are certainly interested about. Maps are cool, but why leavening untouched all other 95% of UI?
Not even close to be enough.
At least for me.
And what is the problem to create two different versions of user interface for the two different platforms? If several enthusiast make it possible to almost completely refurbish the in-game UI and did for a very small amount of time, limited resource and pack of peanuts, than why the hell professional game- development studio can't do it? This is just a bluff, sorry. The Bethesda intentionally don't want to do it to not unacknowledging that they are and were wrong. Besides, it was Todd Howards words, that UI and HUD is it is as it is, because «it works» and Daggerfall was the great game, so changes are not to come.
I'm pretty sure these issues are not unique to Starfield --- and are pretty common in cross platform games.
This is ignorant opinion.
The UI can be patched. Can be programmed. Changed. It is possible.
There are games released both on a typical set of controllers and for VR set of controllers. And they are working together. It is nonsense.
There is literally nothing besides arrogance that is preventing Bethesda from updating the UI inside their own games. Even Bethesda employees, in a different leaks, admit it, that they are well aware about the problem, that the games of the studio had lots of anachronic garbage in it or that comes with them, but they are simply not allowed to do anything or change something.
Sure dude.
Sounds like your beef goes FAR deeper than a UI interface.
Blindly defending this piece of code, at this stage, is simply ridiculous.
The game is considered dead. The player base is no exist. The modding community had abandoned it. And Bethesda is continuing to sit on one of the most terrible UI design in a modern day gaming doing basically nothing about it. Even to the fact, that gamers are dying to see some changes. You know. Literally. Because they are waiting for this since Skyrim or even Fallout 3. But yeah, best you can got: «Gmae studio can't do nothing due to the fact, that the project is released on a different platforms». ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WOW.
You DEFINITELY have a beef far deeper than a UI you don't like.
Honestly Schizoid at this point saying the game is not for you is an understatement.
I am talking about conventional set of things. And funboys denial can't change it.
The game has no player base. At least visible for the scale and promise of the project.
The game support adding things that should be in the game on release date and, actually, don't change game fundamentally or critically. Even if updates are good and useful.
The modding community had supported essential mods months ago and then abandoned them. Typically last year.
That's all facts.
So, situation is terribly bad.
And for me the biggest «no-go» to at least finish this game properly is the UI. Which is horrible. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disaster I would say. And this is conventional opinion too. And there is literally NO real explanation, why Bethesda Game Studios is held to it not matter what. When even a tinny modding community made it possible, at least for a while, to partially fix it.
It is becoming inadequate.
Like I said -- you have issues that go WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY beyond the UI.
But get it out. Get it ALL out.
Hopefully you will feel better afterwards.
Acting as a parrot in denial will not change the situation.
All and different Steam stats, just like score, player count are there no matter what.
And literally anyone will admit that UI is a great problem.
