Feedback: Ship Hab Decoration
In summary: Fun idea. Poor implementation.

What's Good:

Versatility. I only need the benches I want. So I can have more hatches open to the rooms I need to fill.

Enjoyment: It's nice to personalize our ships with our own choices of decor. And once mods add to that decor, we are going to see some really unique interiors.

What's Bad:

The Camera. Absolutely awful. It needs adjustments or a placement mode. Or if one exists, we need to be able to find it. Habs are too cramped for the current camera.

Using Resources instead of Credits: This kills both immersion, AND fun. First, this isn't Skyrim or Fallout. The Settled Systems is futuristic civilization, fully intact and operational. We have Ikea NOW. There is no reason I cannot simply purchase this stuff if I want it. We should be able to choose from credits OR resources to decorate homes and habs.

Because, second...crafting in Starfield is pointless and a waste of time. Bethesda knows it. We know it. Bethesda knows we know it. It is a completely pointless, disconnected resource management game with absolutely no connection to anything else. You can't build new cities or space stations; can't own your own shops or build your ship modules and habs from scratch. Ergo, crafting has no reason to exist other than some people like it.

And that's fine. Don't take it away. Just let us choose whether to use resources, or simply purchase things.

So, decorating habs: Fun idea. Needs a better camera, and a credit purchase option for decor.

Thanks for the update, despite being bad news.

But one thing you said is interesting and reminds me of Funcom, they also have great ideas but very poor implementation lol
/shrug I find, other than the food buffs --- the rest of the crafting is viable and useful.

AS for using credits -- it's pretty easy to buy the resources you need instead of harvesting them.

I guess crafting make more sense in world where fallout or world end, but I do understand where space civilization where they may had endless robot and resource to build for you at cost of your credit or something like that, so crafting make no sense unless you are outside of friendly space cvilization or in enemies zone.

Definitely needs more decor to feel somewhat more personalized but it’s a great start. However, I learned that this feature extended to the Guardian ships and those are amazing when filled out.

Do it carry over to new game plus or you had to start over add all those stuff?

I am just happy to add beds and crafting equipment. I think the changes are awesome. No more fussing with the shipbuilder to get the practical items I need.

Since you receive a new guardian ship with each playthrough, I’m assuming you have to decorate it all over again
