Starfield's massive new update has officially won players back [Article]
A few quotes of the quotes:
"Needless to say, players are already thrilled. “Holy s**t, those new maps look great. The land vehicle caught me off guard,” wrote one player. “Decorate the interior of starships? Sign me up,” said another. Other comments on the update video read, “They’re actually fixing the game and with community requested content too, holy s**t,” and, “These are legitimately amazing quality-of-life updates and this is honestly what I’ve been waiting [for]. I really like the game but it was missing so many little things. Once this comes out I’ll definitely jump back in.” This is music to my ears"

This baffles me. As Starfield is a single player game how exactly will returning players “uninstalling it for a second time and this time for good” affect my game? It won’t affect my experience and I won’t lose progress or face any in-game consequences due to their actions. My game files remain intact on my system. My progress, achievements, and settings are stored locally for my profile and are unconnected to anyone else’s actions.
Because Bethesda isn't going to further develop the game just for you, bub.

That's what baffles me. I don't care, If nothing happened from this moment on and I am the only person left on the planet with the game installed on my PC, I can still play it,:steamhappy:.

It's everyday, 7 days per week, 12 hours a day (sometimes with two keyboards). It is worrying.

Nope not at all.

But you definitely sound angry and disgruntled.

That's unfortunate. There's is much to love about life.

Shame to let your disappointment in a video game ruin yours. ::smile::

you sound lonely. Will your hand no longer call back?

Wow that stings. I mean really stings.

Best you got, I am thinking.

That's what happens when you are generally an unhappy and disgruntled person. ::smile::

This thread is about game updates for Starfield.

Please stay on topic.

As human beings everyone is different. As gamers everyone likes different things. So I think these things happen in increments because it's not like a mass number of people are all waiting for the DLC, a large number sure. But many are waiting on the Official Tools, many have said they are waiting on this update to go live. Then many simply have finished the game at least once already and will pick it back up again sometimes down the road and many like myself has been through the game several times and will definitely be playing again. On and on it goes.

All I know is that I've enjoyed this game as is. I also know the game is of course not perfect so for the things I personally feel should be improved I submit feedback to BGS through the proper channels and I definitely encourage others to do the same because Bethesda has pumped out a lot of changes based on player feedback so they are listening (I'll drop the proper feedback links at the end of my post if anyone truly wants to be heard).

I love BGS game forums here on Steam because historically they are filled with people who want to talk about the game. good or bad, just like any other games forum but because BGS encourages modding we also get a lot of modding talk as well.

Finally I can say with certainty that nothing is for everybody. Some love some things while some have a strong distaste for those same things, so it never surprises me when everyone doesn't like, or love, or even hate a particular video game.

Didn't Fallout 76 get a million person player count a few weeks ago? Wasn't Fallout 76 in a pretty rough spot for a while too?

This player count thing ebbs and flows, I'm unsure why people quote the metric when it can simply change on a substantial whim.
you were never good at cause and effect, were you?

Most people usually point out a flaw in an argument instead of insulting people if they actually have something worthy to say. Never were good at arguing, were you?

I like exploration based gameplay and this update as well as many others before it failed to capitalize on that. The game still has a handful of POIs and after landing on a handful of planets you are seeing every single POI the game has to offer.

And then you have no incentive to explore further. So yeah, I will be skipping this update just like I did for several others before it.

Yes, lack of a great Bethesda open world and poor (empty) procedural generation is a definite disadvantage to Starfield.
