I suppose console and cheat would be the simpler but I'll just change my build and will give up Martial Arts level 4 or at level 1000 or something. So many dirt in this game, that's weird.
For the challenge to register it HAS to be a disarm caused by a melee power attack, and it can only register once per enemy. So if an enemy happens to be disarmed by anything else, you need to try with an other one.
Other than that, I believe the 15% is accurate.
Anyway, you don't really want the last martial arts rank. Blocking is pretty much useless in this game.
I'm at 28/30 without really trying, just throw some power attacks on armed human enemies and it will go up eventually. Anyway as I said, the last rank is useless AF.
The chance isn't global 15% because kills can't disarm it's all the problem of using melee, insta kill with power attack chance lost, kill in two power attack 50% chance lost, result real average chance lower than 7.5% per hit, ridiculous design, please don't try justify such bad design.
In any single close combat game I'd bad at parry, so it was just to try as it is very different than common parry timing seems have been removed, I was curious to try in the single ever melee run (fun but I don't see me play it twice melee).
But I was also happy to change my build plan and changed more than that in the process, so ok for this play.
The people you are hitting with the power attack have to live long enough to be "disarmed."
So I'm on Bohr II or something, a level 75 planet, where I dropped a mission machine to do missions from.
I'm level 100 now and even though the "boss" might be level 94, there are still level 10 dudes around(who die instantly from the initial power attack.)
It is just slow going, but I'm doing it just to do it out of sheer stubbornness. ;)
I know the 4/4 Martial Arts "blocking does damage to the attacker" is not great, but I need the point at 4/4 to get down to the last tier of skills in this tree; martial arts is the only thing I have in the previous one to get that needed point.
I also sometimes do the Akila "rescue the hostage" mission, since on that I have to use the melee weapon anyway, or Andreja/whoever gets mad at me when I shoot the bad guys with my particle weapon and it registers as a "good guy kill" to the companion. If I'm lucky, I might get one power attack to disarm someone there.
When I see their weapon obviously fly away, so it is obviously being disarmed, most of the time I do get this raised by a point.
I didn't even noticed how I got the first similar achievement and with melee not fist so not the best context. But it didn't last more than 10 level up, probably 7 and less.
Just make the challenge power attack kills for example and not this RNG crap.
15% is 3 out of 20. Yet I went through all of the Nova Galactic Staryard without a single disarm. Bare-handed. Something doesn't seem right here.
Even with a real chance of 15% the design is wrong. Myself in my melee run I achieved anyway "rush it" and make the challenge like before level 50 max 60, if I remember well. But it was a bit grindy.
