FSR3 doesn't do anything?[solved]
OK, i find myself in odd situation.

Previously in first big city my FPS was about 60 FPS more or less on decent machine with best AMD GPU. I play on 3440x1440. I am on Linux.

I did not play for a while.(was waiting for FSR3 as current state of performance Is tra**)

So I have applied for beta version of game that supports FSR3.
I launched the game. Noticed some major FPS improvement. And... I noticed that my pic quality is off... So I went to look at graphical settings and found out that my resolution is all messed up. I can't set game to 3440 to 1440 any more. Max I can set is 2560x1440 and then I have like 10-15 FPS on top. Which means, if I go for native resolution FPS will drop further. Probably to same 60 FPS on 3440x1440.

Any thoughts?

I have a 7900 xt, i5 12600k, 32 gb ddr4 3200 mhz ram, nvme gen 4 ssd and already had over 100 fps in town.... Something is going on on your end here. With FSR3, if I enable it, I shoot up to over 200 fps. I ran a four hours session with it turned on, just for the sake of it, and averaged around 285 fps. And that's everything at ultra except I turned motion blur off.
I never understood the purpose of motion blur.

It's in beta, no one forced you to download it.

i am playing with more settings now. i disabled motion blur and things have improved for me. I am confused a bit, 2560x1440 now seems much faster now. could be one time occurrence. with that said, i am annoyed i cant change to native resolution in menu

if on amd
is rsr on in amd cp ? if so turn it off, same goes for vsync
turn on fluid frames and anti-lag leave everything else unchecked for now
then
open game settings>display
turn off upscaling, dynamic resolution and vrs , set resolution scale to 100%
set the res to whatever you want (3440x1440)
set upscaling to fsr3 ,
run the game
then if you want turn on vrs and dynamic res and lower res scale
now you can go back and tinker about in amd cp with other settings
if you have an nvidia gpu i dont know ,
what gpu do you have ? it matters
better yet , list system specs

i figured it out, I am on Linux. KDE with Wayland is a culprit. (AMDGPU, opensource driver)
Loaded up XFCE4 under xorg and issues with resolution are gone.
same as issues with performance.
FSR3 gave some serious FPS boost.

No almost all on ultra(-motion blur) and I get above 100FPS in town.
Perhaps its time for a replay.

excellent

If you have a 7900xtx, best AMD gpu like you wrote, then you should already have had well over 100 fps in town before fsr 3...

Nope, game is badly optimized. I looked at GPU and CPU utilization, both are underutilized.

7900xtx 3950xAMD 3000mhz 64gitg ram, nvme2 SSD, in some places frame rate is 100 FPS, in specific place 60 almost all time(3440x1440 resolution). FSR3 gets around 200 fps as well. did not look at my average FPS inb other places once I got FSR3 working, because i put vsync on... Anyway, this thread is resolved already.
