Yup. If Starfailed was the huge success that some people here think it is, Microsoft wouldn't be doing this.
Before it released, lots of people were saying "This game has to be a smash hit for Microsoft. They need it to compete with Sony because so many Xbox first party titles have failed in recent years."

XBox was on the way out with or without SF. Gaming is trending to mobile.
