How? Toss them on the floor? We didn't get a magazine rack in this game.
If you hold down E when focused on an object, you can "pick it up". You can then spin it on its axis and place it on, say, a table or counter.
And you think they actually stay there? Believe me, they'll end up on the floor (or fall through the table/floor and into nowhere) sooner or later. This engine has never been great at item placement and permanency.
At least that is the way it seems to me.
