Kepler ship disappeared / not loaded by game

The kepler ship would not load today (has been fine for last week, since I improved it). I was using it as my home ship, which means I could have easily been stranded. Lucky I was at home base and it had a landing pad with the ship builder. I had another c class ship I could switch to.

The game said the Kepler was there. I could fast travel to it across the planet map, but it was not there. I tried to load older saves, but it seems to not load the model itself. It shows in my list of ships and has all the stats it had before.

Not only that, the game has deleted my crew on every ship (down from 8 to 4) for no reason including deleting crew gained by completing quests (e.g Amelia Earhart, etc.). They are not at any outpost or city.

Any suggestions to fix these issues? - apart from moving onto another game (I am so sick of this game breaking and falling over). These issues did not exist two days ago. Is this an update issue? Has anyone else experienced this?

Bring it to a space ship repair dude. Change the color and a part or two. Fast travel to it - jump to a planet and exit - hopefully it will be there.

Others have had the same bug. This fixed it for a lot of them.

What about missing crew members? Any ideas?

The crew members may be back at their home locations. However, if they no longer appear in the list, "we" have a problem *g*

Thanks, the colour change on one item did the trick. However, even after finding some of the hired crew, I ca not get them to talk to me

I searched and found a solution that did not work for me - that of making your companion wait whilst you try to talk to the NPC/ex-crew. SO I went back to a point before I used the Kepler ship - 10 days ago and 5 levels ago (157 to 152)- A REALLY sucky solution, but at least I have all crew back.
