Starfield d3d12.dll event viewer 1000 error
Hi there!

I wasn't played Starfield since January. It worked before with my mods and I have around 270 hours in the game. I planned to check the new updates and how it looks now after several patches, and after months... It doesn't work since new updates.

Starfield.exe stop itself without any error popup, and I got d3d12.dll 1000 error in event viewer.

Does anyone have a similar problem?
Is there any solution or just wait for a new update?

Steps I tried:

SFSE and other mods has updated to the latest version,
sfc /scannow,
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth,
Windows update,
Steam file check verification,
Game reinstall,
nvidia driver update,
AVX auto bios setting auto,
Uninstall game / Remove complete game and delete Starfield folder.

Above steps doesn't help at all.

Check thru this guide:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3033949254

Otherwise it's likely in your mods.

And when you say "SFSE and other mods has updated to the latest version"
You should go back and double check them all.

Also,
when you say "Uninstall game / Remove complete game and delete Starfield folder."
Did you make sure to delete all of these folders?

Hi Vlad 254,

Yes, I finished all of these above steps. Didn't work.
I'll check my mods again, I hope it'll be an update or something what I missed.

HeyYou (Banned) Mar 30, 2024 @ 6:18am
Do the uninstall thing, then, JUST install the game. See if the game all by itself, no mods, no SFSE, etc, will actually run.

Hi HeyYou!

Thank you for the hint! It works without mods!
It was my bad! I didn't start the game after reinstall without my mods.
First start preparing shaders etc, and after that I can start the game with all of my mods without error!

:steamhappy:
