First thought: did you try to remove the shader cache? It's stored in a location other then the game profiles (saves etc) and the game directory. So it might still be broken no matter how often you uninstall etc. Check the guide for further details (paths and the like).
HI, YES Indeedy. I'm a 850 hour PC Starfield Player. I have NOT progressed to NG+. Before the 19March2024 patch was introduced, my game saves and loads were fine, but I found my game slowing down over time. Then, one day, walking into my Skills Farming Outpost crashed my game. I "fixed" that by downgrading my Display settings. A few weeks later the game was getting really slow as I started to build a Home Outpost and set up Cargo Links.
Once the 1.10.31 patch was installed, I couldn't load the last 4-6 saved games. when I did go back and progress an old saved game, the next day I couldn't run that updated Save Game file, as the game crashed when I tried to run that file.
I have been working with the Bethesda Tech Support for over a week checking all MY computer systems etc. No issues on my system.
HOWEVER, during a recent conversation, the Tech Support person said that Some People are Experiencing game crashes during saved game loading process. Apparently, that issue will be fixed in an upcoming patch - this comment was today, Thursday, 28th March 2024.
SO, hopefully, that patch will be released soon, but don't hold your breath.
