Lost: Any interest in other games...
I'm on the verge of 2500 hours in Starfield at this point. I play it every day, Here is the situation: I've tried to check out other games. I have around 178 games in my library and I see some new games coming out that would normally interest me. Every time I try to play something other than starfield I lose interest and get bored with it almost immediately. There is simply nothing out there that can hold a candle to Starfield for me. Story... exceptional, game play amazing; Graphics: Off the charts. Immersion: never been anything that even comes close. I believe I have found the perfect game in Starfield. It was great at launch and has just gotten better since. Thank you Bethesda for once again putting out a game that delivers across the board.

For me it's Division 2. The world creation and attention to detail is magnificent. Hiding clues in the environment to where the Hunters were was excellent community task.

Killing the bad guys was priceless since the deck is stacked against you doing it all solo.
Four on one Hunter killing was my best time in gaming.

Here here, a toast to the player who heavily contributed to bringing the avg playtime across 14 million users, up to 40 hrs!! Todd thanks you!

Forget older games. Look to play new releases.

I have a few on my radar that I'm looking forward to, beginning in August.

-Madden 25
-FC 25
-Assassin's Creed: Shadows
-Civilization VII
-Anno 117: Pax Romana
-Elder Scrolls: Castles

I'll take Shattered Space for a spin, but I'm not really interested. It looks too sci-fi for me.

I axed Dragon Age: The Veilguard because that trailer is an eyesore.

The combat looks putrid. I can't believe BioWare sh-- the bed. Again.

Honestly, I'd rather play Elder Scrolls: Castles. And mobile games suck.

There is only one game that has kept that type of long attraction for me. Fallout 4. 4400+ hrs and counting. No outside source mods ether.

I know some players that play Fallout 4 and have well over 6000 hrs.

If you enjoy the game that much, then that's great. Keep at it until/unless you get bored.

My library isn't quite as big as yours. I have just over a hundred games on Steam, about half that many on GOG, and a handful on EA's platform. But of those, I only have eleven installed. I recently uninstalled several games that I haven't played in a year or more. Eventually I'll cycle through most of the ones installed now. Football Manager, Total War Warhammer series (counting those three as one game), XCOM 1 & 2, Witcher 3, and CyberPunk 2077 are the only ones that entertain me enough to keep them permanently installed.

So, my active play list is bigger than one, but it's still just a small fraction of what I've spent money (mostly wasted money) on. The only game where I ever got close to your hours is Skyrim, which is my all time favorite without a close second.

As for upcoming games, that's pretty pessimistic for me. I just removed a game that Paradox decided to cancel at the last minute, and added Gears of War, E-Day, although I don't think it has a release date yet. So, that makes one game on my Wish List. I was excited for Star Wars Outlaws back when I thought it was going to be an open world game, but recent news has me doubting that. I probably have a better chance of an open world SW game with some of the Starfield overhaul mods that are in development.

I only have 31 in my Library. Did not start buying games on Steam until 2015. Before then, I bought most of them at video game stores. But I did not start playing video games a lot until I retired several years ago. Was too busy working and helping to raise 3 kids.

I really liked Witcher 3. Have close to 800 hrs in it. Great game. I also played a lot of Warhammer 2. Over 1000 hrs in it.

*Raises hand* That would be me :P

There is something special about Fallout 4 that's for sure. I know every inch of the Commonwealth yet I never get truly bored of the game. It's not a game for everyone but if you are the person it fits then you have thousands of hours of enjoyment.
Yup Fallout 4 is holding my interest more than anything atm. I rarely play any game for thousands of hours and doubt FO4 will be one of them. I've probably played a few MMORPGs for that length of time though or at least 1.

I'm waiting for more things to come with Starfield. Shattererd Space and POIs that aren't all copy pasted. I'm a patient guy at times so if i need to wait another year or so i can do that.

I gotta say that this is the most boring game I've ever played. Ultimate loading screen simulator. Anyone who paid more than $0 for this game got ripped off.

I think it's all a matter of perspective. I have always been a fan of Bethesda, I started with Morrowind and I have played all their titles, in Skyrim I have more than 500 hours and in Fallout 4 more than 1000 and honestly this game seems like just another one of the bunch to me, even a bit bad. The story? a mere excuse to start the wheel spinning, gameplay? a collection of bad pieces of gameplay from Fallout 4 and Skyrim. Graphics? There is no way I can ignore the lack of all current technologies, seriously, Skyrim with mods looks better. Immersion? it's a joke? Have you ever played Red dead redemption 2 / The Witcher 3 / Cyberpunk 2077? That's immersion. The truth is that I can't handle the loading screens, I can't handle the fact that the game has fewer weapons than a game from 10 years ago. And I really want to like it, I make the effort, I come back from time to time with each update but I can't stand it.

I still don't get the loading screen complaint. It takes what 2 to 5 seconds to load a new area? wtf get better hardware or something.

this is a statement - pure love for the game - even if it does not help the game nor the forum. feel free to spread more of such topics. i don`t think it will change the facts and the poor starfield game statistic on steam.

Over 500 hours, level 92, NG+++, only 2 achievements remain unclaimed, love the Hornet Nest.
