pitch black and large amount of ships spawn in orbit

recently started playing again with the update and i have 2 issues wondering if anyone has a fix for them.
first one is sometimes everything is pitch black no matter what time it is
second is whenever i go into orbit of a major planet there are around 100 ships that spawn all at once causing serious frame loss
i have verified files but if i need to do a clean install i guess i will have to unless someone has got a way to fix them

For the pitch black thing, did you use photomode in an enclosed area like a boarded ship?

For the Ship thing, try lowering your Graphic settings. Major Planets (anywhere you are scanned) spawn Traffic to make it seem like people are coming and going. That of course is with the Caveat that you have updated your Graphics Drivers in the last 3-6 months and you are operting with a Graphics Card of Recommended level.

i have accidentally gone into photo mode once or twice but should that persist after i save and quit?
everything is up to date and hardware shouldent be an issue. im not running max graphics or anything special.
the space traffic on major planets its spawning at least 20 of the same ship in one spot in 3 different spots.

Photomode Darkness (not total loss of visuals) should go away after a cell change (game restart SHOULD Qualify but I usually just ducked back into my ship).

Honestly I don't pay attention too much to other ships in orbit so I can't speak to well to that one. I don't think they have a crowd type setting for space.

Did you ever find a fix to this issue? I am getting the same exact 2 problems.

There is a mod that reduces the amount of AI called crowd reducer but that's for planet side only i just ended up starting a new game to fix it or it was a update that fixed it since I haven't had any issues since the dlc dropped
