But it's not good.
You just have to keep moving your hab until you find the right place. if you can, I recommend building your habs high as you can. Plants and rocks will clip through later on if you give them the chance. The game says their gone when you place the hab, but they will be back.
I stopped buiilding outposts but when I last did, I built the Landing Pad (big round) at a suitable height and then built an Airlock as close as I could (so that the ladder clipped gone) Then just built the Habs off that. Didn't always work right, like I said. Its finicky.
